Amazing
I am glad to hear you had such a good time in my home country. I have been away from South Africa for 12days now, and there are certain things one misses, next time you get a chance to go back, stay at the Huhlwe Game Lodge, in Zululand, you will never experiance anything like it, from anywhere else in the world. Oh wow, ,my withdrawl sympton's are seriously high, on that note.

Is transport easy to organize?
Hey!! Thanks for sharing your experiences! I'm traveling to Laos next weekend, for about 9 days. I'm so excited...but have to admit that I haven't done much research! :) We will be four girls traveling to Luang Prabang, via Chiang Rai - Houi Xai...and then down from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng - Vientiane and then fly back from Udon Thani. I would like to know how much time we must put aside to travel from Vang Vieng to Udon Thani? I've been reading some blogs and it seems that it is possible to travel from Vang Vieng all the way to Udon Thani in one day? We don't necessarily want to spend much time in Vientiane..so I guess what I want to know is will it be possible to catch an early bus out of Vang Vieng, to be on time in Udon Thani to catch a 18h00 plane to Bangkok? Thank you very much!!

About Sardinia
Hi! Glad that you liked Sardinia although you visited the less genuine part of the Island. The Costa Smeralda was actually built to be an expensive resort for VIPs and it is nothing like the real Sardinia that I love, although the landscape is still amazing and the weather always impressive. There are a number of cruises that stop in the South of the island as well (Cagliari) if you come back to the Med. :-) If you wish you can find more about Sardinia on www.blog-sardinia.co.uk Ciao! Manuela

Great Photos! Sounds like your trip was an awesome experience.. I've been wanting to go to Cape Town for a long time now and will hopefully be able to make it there soon. I actually saw a South African film recently called "White Wedding" and some of the shots of Cape Town are pretty captivating. Have you heard of it? whiteweddingmovie.com/

Hard hitting stuff...
Having just read a book by Pin Yathay (Stay Alive, My Son) about his escape to Cambodia, I was particularly touched by this blog. People should be made aware that their problems are minimal compared to how much other people suffer through war and politics even to the present day. The other day we spoke to a woman whose husband was killed in the Second World War who didn't like Germans because of that. I assumed that at her age prejudices wear out but was disappointed that she felt the way she did because it doesn't reflect progress. Ignorance isn't bliss and that we all benefit to be better people from learning from the past. Thank you for sharing...x
