Having walked the length and breadth of BA the day before we succumbed to the attraction of both hitting our 40th country so the next day we took a short trip in el Buquebus (Boat) over to Uruguay for the day. The boat left at 7am so we got to the port with plenty of time until Sheena breaks the news she has left her customs papers in the hostel....no trouble. We got from the port-hostel-port (this time with all papers) in a time even Schumacher would have been impressed with. Colonia del Sacramento is a very quaint town on the [View Full Entry]

A little Excited...
A little Excited...
life is a chore sometimes
Having travelled with work all year in the comfort of business class it was a while before I would accept the news Sheena broke to me in the aeroplane at JFK that there was no "horizontal" seat button....gutted! It was like a war zone at midnight where firecrackers, fireworks and bangers were let off in the streets and off the top of buildings - the noise was incredible. Lanterns with a flame inside were also seen floating across the city sky until they self destructed. BA has also changed alot - the [View Full Entry]

A New Home
Una Botella de agua caliente por favor
Villa Allende

The leaving party in Jacques café set the tone for the start of the trip. 2 leaving parties and 2 Christmas parties in 4 days ensured we would sleep well on the plane. It doesn´t seem possible that 2 1/2 years has passed so quickly....however it was very fitting that the leaving party was in the place where the whole NY adventure started. NY has been very good to us - we leave having met some fantastic people who have become friends forever. It was great to spend our last evening in NY with so many of them. [View Full Entry]
