Honesty Very good idea, hate sport. There I've said it. hehehe
Please take heart in that you are one of the few people I can be honest with Paul, that means I love you dearly :)
You\ Great reading sure we know whats next ...hmmm.so summer is on its way for you so sure you will be working out doors eh..in a philosophical way you will keep someone well versed. writing is your dream ...maybe an advisor on why the poms should emigrate...life is a dream eh but not in the u.k. You have a better chane in OZ !
Green grass I've always wondered about your career Paul. You're a very clever chap but that has never seemed to be reflected in your career success. I think that maybe it's because you've been looking for your dream job? That something that you actually want to get up in the morning for? Certainly when I went into accounting it was for very practical reasons of money and security - I don't particularly enjoy my job and I think that there are a lot of things I'd rather do. 'Success' is funny like that - on paper I'm doing very well careerwise, but it doesn't really seem to make me happy. I know peopel who have made the choice to pursue a career in theatre and comedy and they have had to endure years of poverty, with the trade-off of doing something they love. For me, the trade-off is to be indifferent to my job but to be paid lots and have a certain amount of security. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't worry too much about your career (easy to say!) because as I think about it, I think that you've made a trade-off to wait until you've found our niche. I always thought you'd be good at organising events and so on - as is very evident from the runnig theme of your social organising in your various jobs.
School of life Excellent work mate. Loved reading this and look forward to the next one. I like the idea that we've evolved past the need for careers and that we're better off trying lots of different things to build a more understanding and multi-talented society... except for doctors, they should get really good at that.
You'll find it soon! As I have never tired of saying, I don't worry about you as I know that you will find your niche and excel in it when you do. xx (looks like it needs to include some element of socializing and writing witty emails!!)
What do you do? I'm sure that you manage to interrupt blogs with something to earn a crust! Women are never asked this question! why? answers on a postcard?
Great blog - when do you find the time for all this wonderful stuff! - do you maybe have the Grandpa 'gene' who always liked to work at night when everybody else was asleep?
Honest Well written as always and honest - should be read by the many other people in the world who haven't found their niche yet. I know at least one of my age i.e. 5 years older than you who hasn't. Eagerly awaiting the next instalment... xxx
Congrats from me too! Hi Toobz. What wonderful news! Couldnt' be happier to welcome Sarah into the family :-) We'll look forward to seeing you in July for lots of drinkies and a fabbo celebration xxx
Congratulations from the Rounds Hello Paul, just read this with Mum, Dad is trying to do it on his phone, so may get there eventually. Much as the title says, congratulations from all of us, Mum and Dad are looking at flights at the moment. Thing will get and we will get there. On another slightly less exciting note, although only slightly, Matsrechef Australia made it over here, seen the first series and it's uinbelievable that Chris didn't win. Laters
Romantic moment... Honey what was I supposed to do, give the game away? I may have used a bit of poetic license with my recollection of events, but if the idea of strolling outside along an endless glittering panorama doesn't say 'romance' loud and clear then I don't know what does!
Wait wait wait, there was no mention of romantic moments this part was obviously in his mind, I might have considered going outside if I had realised that it meant a proposal was about to occur. I was completely astonished when he asked but exceptionally happy as well.
Paul i love reading your blogs! i love the fine detail you go into! you should look into journalism or writing a book! in all honesty i cant understand some of the stuff you say aha!
but congratulations to the both of you! me n jay have always wanted to go australia... so maybe we might just have to crash the wedding!!!!
lots of love xxxx
