Yorkshire Tea in Sapa, Vietnam
Hey Tina International, I'm that "British guy" brandishing his box of Yorkshire Tea with pride! Great blog. Really enjoyed reading and I will share it with our supporters. The place where you can have a proper cuppa in Vietnam is called 'Sapa O'Chau Cafe' - www.sapaochau.org It's a community project run by the ethnic minority hill tribes themselves (I work for them!) We organise volunteer work, authentic trekking & homestays, and of course, great teas and coffees. Safe travels, Peter

Congratulations on finding the right job that you enjoy...
Many TBers have taken jobs in Sydney to save up for their next adventure. But we will enjoy hearing about your time in Sydney too. Unfortunately we will only have a couple of days there in mid October before moving on to New Zealand...a reason to return.

Accommodation in Hoi An?
Hello over there! I was wondering if you can recommend any good place to stay in Hoi An? Where you satisfied with the guesthouse you mentioned? I treid to find it on the internet, but wasn't successful. We are looking for a small traditional place, preferably, nothing fancy. Would be great to get some advice! Hanka

Hoi An
Hi there I'm pretty sure the place is called Thuy Duong hotel whic is on Le Loi in the old town. There's a couple of places down here with similar names but they're both around 12USD per room per night...really quaint little places - nothing flash but traditional, clean & friendly! Definitely stay in the old town, even if you have to spend a little more - its beautiful & sooooo worth it! And try the Cao Lau from the street stalls by the river!...its about a dollar and far better than the fancy restaurants! Hope this helps! x

In addition to the "no pets on plates" rule you need to add...
no slithery or crawly thing on plates. Gross! Otherwise, I have enjoyed the blogs of your travels around Southeast Asia. So are you headed directly to South America or are you stopping along the way; e.g., Australia and New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands?

I love how you argue with the scammers and win!
and finding the catalog from your company which they use to copy your designs. Another great blog!

Silk Dress
I would love to see you in a silk dress, but don't fancy worm wine. Also love the hat, hope you bring it home.

Sorry to hear you didn't like Dalat...
I went to school there for 7 years between 1956 and 1964...before it became crowded. Lonely Planet was describing the town 50 years ago!

Happy 30th birthday!
My 30th was my most traumatic, and I've reached my 60th. It must have been the passing from youth to middle age. Anyway, thanks for blogging about the great time you had with your family. It's such blogs that add the personal touch and let your fellow TBers get to know you better.

RIP Nan
Hi Chritina, Your Nan is in a better place with angels are watching over! I lost most of my family members during Pol Pot time and i could even not set my tears - at that time it was a releive to end their suffering. I hid in the ship and left Sihanoukvill Port in early 1980 and end up in Philiipines. I came to Minnesota - USA in 1981 alone and it was very sad. Now i have my family - met my wife here in the US and married in 1989 as she also had to run and hide and crossed over to the Thai border. We both grew up in Phnom Peng and went to the same high school but we did not know each other. What a small world. We are planning to retire early next year in Cambodia! Thanks for sharing your travel experiences! Theary / Marida Minnesota, USA
