Living the life Hey Camille! Sounds like you are getting to see the real Japan. There is nothing like living in a country to really see the good and the bad. I do sorta feel sorry for the neighbours dog who somebody probably ate. Congrats on making it through a year and keeping your sense of humour :-)
Fucktard? Excellent word I think I'll start using it now. Also, I hope you actually called mom on her birthday and you're not just remembering it 3 weeks late, because that would make you a fucktard. Ha!
Malcolm Solves his problems with a chain saw Just a word of advice Meeler. Malcolm solves HIS problems with a chain saw and never has the same problems twice.
Mmmm Concrete My civil engineering roommate would LOVE japan I think. He loves concrete. More than most people.. More than most civil engineers. Anyways, green tea is great, you should drink the stuff that I drink. It's probably because your tea is Japanese Green tea and not Chinese Green tea. I don't know what the difference is, but either way you're gay.
Verry verry sneaky.... Camille, you're a huge perv!!! Although the idea of someone seeing you standing naked on a ledge taking pictures of a bathhouse is hillarious, so that slightly makes up for your pervertness! Does Denise know that you like to take pictures in male Onsens?
Well done Hey Camille,
Probably the only time I will set eyes on an Onsen so thnaks for the stealth pics.. you very sneaky foreigner/ (almost pervert).
Communal Bathing? As a man who has been part of team sports for many, many years, I still find it uncomfortable to shower with other naked men. The fact that you are comfortable with communal bathing with complete strangers simply to bathe with complete strangers makes you a bigger man than me. Kudos.
PS, It's "penises". Sorry to burst yer bubble.
Rules to live by... These rules would apply for more than just the communal baths. You may have a future as a P.I. - the stalking and perversion will come in handy.
BTW, cheque under $10k CDN.
Love you guys.
Bob will be proud I'll tell my Finnish friend that you have now taken to hanging out naked around other men in hot areas. Him and Harri will crown you an honorary Finn for showing your 'kalu' in public.
Wat the?? Wats with all the wats? :)
Sounds like you guys are having the adventure of a lifetime. I live vicariously through you!
Keep the hilarity coming! (But not the trannys I hope... eeewww....)
Being an ass runs in the family Inserting yourself into tourists' pictures must be hereditary. My favorite spot to do it is in Banff. Tons of Japanese have gone home and developed their pictures only to wonder in confusion who the white chick smiling and waving at the back of the group is. I might be recognized by some Japanese if I come to visit this summer!
Better than Cowtown Wow, that sounds a lot more enticing than the hours in front of an X-Box and in a sterile looking gym. Wish I was there with ya, let me tell ya. Keep up the good work, you two.
Don't let the discrimanition issue bother you, or it'll distract from your enjoyment of the trip. It's really their problem, not yours. Perhaps because they are taught their civilization goes back before the Europeans, there may be a subconscious chauvinistic attitude. Of course, the colonisation of many of their countries by the West, doesn't help either.
Is there a plaque near the prang stating that the suspects were sodomized? That seems an odd thing to inform people of in such a beautiful, historic place.
hey hey guys
sounds like you are still really enjoying your time over there--thats great! glad you missed the bangkok bombings too! yikes!
thats crazy that you think youve been discriminated against so much. ive never had that happen to me in all the time ive been there. guess ill have to pay more attention. anyways glad your doing well. talk to you soon!

The Japanese adventure is over. We've moved back to Canada and have settled into new jobs, a new home, and a new chapter in our lives. How long will this last? Who knows...
