Saturday 31st May Exploring Zermatt in the sunlight confirmed our initial impressions from yesterday, that it is primarily a tourist orientated town. We went to the newspaper/stationery shop to purchase some RW CDs to store the photos for Dick and Tineke. Although they sold paper, books, CDs, greeting cards and the plethora of other items one usually finds in this type of shop, it was also crammed to the gunnels with souvenir items, postcards and mementos. The day was fine with only the occasional cloud in the sky, so we decided to catch the Gornergrat Bahn, a cogwheel railway takes you to just below the peak of the Gornergrat mountain.
