So...I'll be shipping out to Cape May, NJ in the next few months and will finish my intelligence training about an hour north of San Francisco. The next few months will be very hectic. My tentative dates and locations are as follows: Northern California with family and friends: May 13th - May 17th Kauai, HI: Unknown, but I'm going to shoot for May if all works out Southern California: 2 separate trips as I am putting my stuff in storage there before July 1st. I feel like sharing something that touched me today, because travel can reside in the mind as well as through the body. A fellow traveler and friend posted a poem some time ago on his travel blog and I came across it a few days ago. One of the great brother-sister loves of my lifetime played his guitar while singing me a song of devotion, travel, and boundless loving connection, and it made me think of the poem written by Ashton. This evening is the Red Tara Tsok at a local Tibetan Buddhist temple and I will be attending. Red Tārā embodies the fierce aspect associated with magnetizing all good things. My meditation practice for the past five years in Los Angeles has been lackluster at best as there are a lack of Vajrayana schools and teachers in the Southland. The greatest reason for me leaving Los Angeles was to live a more holistic life, the one that I live in my head and had great difficulty putting into action in my life in Los Angeles. The Dalai Lama has accepted my spiritual teacher and past attendant to the Dalai Lama the Venerable Lobsang Samten's invitation to visit the Tibetan Buddhist Center of Philadelphia in 2009.
