What has happened in the last 36 hours, has to be the worst, well it could be worse, time ever. We set of yesterday at 8am from Surin Beach, Puket, Thailand for Puket Town to catch a bus to Bangkok. That all went well. We took the local bus to Puket Town and managed to get a bus to Bangkok which left at 2pm. Oh my, we have to be the happiest couple in the world. Why, you ask? I will tell you why! We left Koh Phi Phi on the 23rd. Only to happy to leave that hell hole of a resort called, Phi Phi Don Chukit Resort. It has to be worse than prison. The room like I said was basic, I am happy with that, but hell, the room stank like crap, very bad sewer as toilet was one you poured water in bowl to flush. Today we were up at the crack of dawn. Very excited for our boat trip. We left the bay at 9am and head off to Maya Bay. This is where they made the movie, The Beach. When we got there, there was maybe two other boats, so we took photo's and walked around. We walked thru the jungle and found another beach, well more like rocks. We are on Phi Phi Island and all is good. We arrived by boat, which was pretty smooth sailing. When we left Railey Beach, the sun was out and the sea calm. One hour into the trip, the clouds were building up and the wind picked up. It was a race against time now. The clouds, which were as dark as night were approaching fast and furious. 3.30pm Yesterday was a bad day for me, Chris. We woke up early that morning and I was not feeling to good. My feet were so sore from all the cuts and I had a headache and a fever. Determined to make the most of the morning, we went for a walk around the beach. It is amazing, the tide was high so the water comes right up to the wall of all the shops. 9.30pm Where I last left off, we were on our way to have a beer or two. That turned out to be a beer or two dozen. We started the evening of on the beach, laying on these chairs you can fold flat and sleep on. Was a amazing night, the moon was out and it had cooled down a degree or two. This morning we were up sparrows. Today we leave Koh Samui and head back to the main land then off to Krabi on the West coast of Thailand. As we were staying on the east coast of Koh Sami and we had to get to the West coast of the island to catch a ferry, we ended up taking a taxi, we were not to sure when the bus was coming and wanted to leave early. 8.00AM Well, we have been on Koh Samui for 4 days now. The first 2 were just lazing around on the beach at Bo Phut Beach. I, chris, still can't go in the water as my feet are cut to shredds and there is no sign of it getting any better. Today I have covered them up to keep the dirt out! We left Royal Orchid Resort at 10am this morning. Much to the sadness of the staff and our dog, who followed us right to the bitter end. We said our good buys and jumped into the back of the pick up truck, the dog just sat there crying. A very sad morning as we had grown very fond of her especially Linda who couldn't help but shed a tear as we left. The ferry left for Kho Samui at 11am. Last night was a very quiet one as the barman, from Burma, was not in the mood for party. He was not him self as the night before he was talking and laughing the whole night, tonight he is playing Bob Marley love songs, we think he may be missing his girlfriend who up and left him for Bangkok with his child of 2 months!
