Train Travel Day This morning we left Paris, on our milk run to Nice. We first stopped in Lyon, then Marseilles before finally arriving in Nice. (Ate some interesting gummy candy enroute - cola spaghetti - who knew!?!?) Once in Nice we took the tram to our hotel. Our hotel is very American - big, loud, full of English speakers. The advertisement said it was in the ‘heart of Nice’ - not so much, we’re not really near to the tourist area, but that is OK - the restaurants are cheaper and nicer out here. Paris - Day 3 We did go for a beer, and what a beer it was; I have no idea what the kind was, but it was great. We went to a small bar right down the street from our hotel, called the Dipolmat. We then woke to some rain and a high of 18c, after an apple sauce and bread breakfast (that is all they eat, bread and desserts), we caught the Metro and made it to the Church Sacre Coeur. Paris - Day 1 After a long, uncomfortable, bright flight we arrived in Paris. Due to strong tailwinds our flight arrived 50 minutes early! We cleared customs and got our baggage very quickly and embarked on an adventure in the Parisien Metro system. After about two hours (half of which I felt like I was trying to figure out how to buy tickets) we arrived at our hotel. It is a quaint little hotel on the 15ieme section of Paris.
