enlightement What? You mean Fox News and CNN don't give you the whole story? Shocker.
I feel sort of refreshed while reading your blog now that you're in an entirely different part of the world. All of your schnitzeling and skiing was getting me down. Way to be Team Turner. Cleansing my palate with good ol' sand.
Hi I love reading about all your amazing adventures...I'm taking mini vacations with you as I read your blogs. It looks like you're having an incredible trip! Thank you for inviting us along!
Dubai Hi Kelley and Mike - Dubai sounds like a lot of fun. I've had two college acquaintances move there (no joke - one married a jockey who helps train Arabian horses, she's tall and blond, he's...well, the size of a jockey). Anyway, they both like it -- your travel explanation helps me understand why. Enjoy your tour of the desert - look forward to seeing pictures soon. Katie
Dubai Fire I guess you guys are probably well aware of this by now. Until I read your blog this morning, I probably would've never even clicked on this story link.

Hope you're both doing well!
You must go to Paris! Hi guys! It sounds like Strasbourg was a great stop on your journey. And I wholeheartedly agree with Henry. You can't be that close to Paris and not check it out! It is a lovely city, and I think you'll find that the French do get a bad rap over here. They are a very sweet people! Can't wait to hear about your next adventures!
never has cheesy been done so well by so few for so long as with you two. I have to bow.
Seriously. I'm in my computer chair bowing. Ow. I hit my head.
Bon or "The Fish" I know Catfish is one of the curest dogs alive, but somehow I am not sure I am truly happy having him called "Mother". Love kel's haircut. Bon
after reading this journal I had to go find a snack... also loved the story about the bed - too cute. Would love to see pics of the types of rooms you're staying in and how you found them... Love your stories... keep them coming. Stay safe and have fun.

Making an Adventure Enjoying keeping up with you guys on this trip. I'm jealous of you guys for managing to find a snow storm to allow some skiing. Pictures are great...Stay safe and stay well. Looking forward to more...
Mike and Kel, It sure has been fun tagging along with you guys on this trip. It’s been entertaining, exciting, adventurous and informative. It’s been very inexpensive as well (for me). Mike does such a good job of describing the cuisine I often feel I can almost taste the food. Wherever we are headed next, bring it on. I’m ready.
Hi - so the pictures of Switzerland have been amazing - I so want to go and ski and eat Fondue!!! I could definitely see you too running a hotel somewhere :) Keep the stories coming - I love reading it! Have fun and be safe.
Hilarious! Catching up on the story of your travels over a beer on a lazy Saturday evening (translation - I'm old). Makes you wonder who/what got stuck there prior to the sign.
Mike and Kel, It sounds like you guys had a great day on the slopes at Kitzbuhel. Both of you really wear your whipped cream well. There’s nothing like hot chocolate after being outside in winter weather. Kel, you did a great job of taking out your ski instructor. It sounds like when you get back you should start taking martial arts training with Mike as your teacher.
striking the pose Loved the picture of you two kissing in front of the gazebo and I laughed out loud, Kel, when I noticed your foot coquettishly kicked up behind . . . that is oh, so-o you. ;)
It's not the heat, it's the humility So, it's raining it's meteorological butt of here in Monde du Riche. Not a pretty start to 2007, but it does give one time to reflect on the myriad of things one will not accomplish in the coming year.
Happy New Year! To all of youz from all of us. You were missed last night but Salzburg isn't a bad backdrop for missing your friends.
We love you and have fun!
Happy New Year Happy almost New Year, Team Turner! I just took a minute to get caught up on your Christmas week travels. Thanks so much for the pix of the snow. Richmond has been in the 50's and 60's so it was nice to see some snowcovered trees at this holiday time of year. I'm sure you now appreciate how tough those bicycle racers (like in the Tour de France) have it when they have to navigate those tiny goat path mountain roads. Have a great once-in-a-lifetime New Year's celebration! Katie
Mike and Kel, You guys continue to do the adventurous, vigorous activities. Any time you go a mile up a steep incline it’s quite an accomplishment. Way to go!
Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas, Team Turner!! Looks like you all continue to have an amazing time. We're thinking of you and missing you over the holidays. Happy '07 and keep the amazing pics coming! Much love!!
For all of you who don't know us, we are a relatively normal married couple from Richmond, VA. We have been married for 5 years and have been friends since we met at Capital One on our first day of work. We have decided to make a "nontraditional move" with our lives. On November 7th, 2006 Kel and I left everything behind and started traveling beginning with Lisbon, Portugal. The plan was to start in Europe, hit Asia, Australia and New Zealand and then return to Europe to finish our year. Before it was all said and done we added destinations in the Middle East and Africa. The trip was am... full info
