So, why don't I see pictures of you and David riding the donkeys in one of the races. I don't see how you can bring this tradition back to the US if you haven't tried it first. Come on you guys, get your acts together here!

Wow. What an experience to visit and hear about the Nazi treatment of Jews. It must be very difficult for the german people to know that their ancestry is associated with this type of treatment of fellow human beings. Even though it is hard to visit this monument, it is great that you did. This honors the tormented and helps to heal the german people. You are both experiencing so many wondrous sites. Every place you go, you are truly living the experience. we love you and can hardly wait to hear more.

OK David; I think it's great that you dove into the water and a picture was taken. I think though, that now your going to have to get Chelsea to dive in at the same place. I think it's the only acceptable thing to do. Norway looks like a wonderful place to visit. So you say that Norway is expensive. We'll see soon enough which place wins in terms of expense; England or Norway. I have heard alot about Norweigan sweaters. We can hardly wait to see them. I think Seattle is the right place to have such sweaters, especially during fall and winter. Edmonds dad

Many dogs in England - From: Safe and sound in Ireland thanks to Rick Steves!
Hi........... This message is a comment to your remarks on the scarcity of dogs in Ireland. Don"t count on this being true in England. The British have a love relation with all animals. You will see dogs in the City of London, in the pubs and I once sat in the same train compartment all the way to York with a Golden Retriever. He and his mistress each had their own ticket. She had the outside seat and the dog had the window seat and never a peep was heard from either one of them. Please keep blogging. It is becoming the joy of Southshore to read your adventures. Those car rental agents - From: Driving while Irish
Hi... Your car rental experience brought back memories from our first trip to England. We had made reservations in Oxford back in 1984 for a car with an automatic. It was quite a shock to find out when we got there that the agent did not have our car and we had to settle for a subcompact with a stick shift. Our first problem was to somehow figure out how to get out of the overcrowded car park that the car was parked in. We then exited directly onto a multilane roundabout along with a zillian (sp) other cars, buses and trucks. We had to circle several times in order to figure out when and how to get off the roundabout and headed in the right direction. We finally got off, but in doing so I ended up driving over the curb and narrowly missing a street light. After a few miles I got the hang of it and we never again had any driving problems...thank God. It sounds like you two are having a great time Love.....Rick and Pat
