Day 24 We relaxed in the hotel and enjoyed our last yummy breakfast there and then later that morning had a mammoth table tennis session. We decided to head to Khao San road mid afternoon as this is where we were getting our bus to Phuket and after spending some time writing our blog and getting an early dinner we arrived at the travel agents to be 'picked up' - there were around ten of us and we had to walk about fifteen minutes to the bus station and a group of Irish travellers lost their friend so there was a bit of a drama! Day 9 After a good nights sleep, we decided to go and see the Terracotta Warriors with Mitch (an Aussie we had met the night before). Mitch was well travelled and with his help we had no problems getting there!!! The trip was really interesting and the warriors are quite impressive. We spent the evening in our hostel, which is rated in the top 10 on hostelworld and is very historical! Day 10 We got up early and headed to a local park where there were loads of locals exercising, doing tai chi or playing badminton...everyone seems to be awake early in the morning. Day 1 Wednesday morning and we were all ready for our trip... The trip started in a chauffer driven car to Heathrow airport (aka dad's Hyundai!!!)... After an emotional goodbye with Mum and Dad, we arrived at the airport an hour before we could even check-in! Slightly nervous we sat on some uncomfortable airport seats munching on our lunch and playing typical geeky Brett games to pass the time. With our flight at 4.40pm we were able to check-in at 1.40pm. As soon as this time came we headed to check-in, although we were bewildered at the new technology in terminal 5, where you check in by computer and then drop your bags at ANY of the gates (how does your bag find the right flight?!).
