Hi Catharine from all at ilu
we are all reading your blog entry and wishing we were with you it sounds so wonderful. You are missed by all and we are looking forward to reading about your next adventure.
Family history research Hi Cath,, just love your descriptions of all your experiences. Sounds just as good as when my daughter was there last year. Photos are very good.
Yes, you will be chasing many a "bureau" whilst researching the Sanna family. At least you should have the address of where Elsie was living just before she came back to Australia. Also you should be able to pick up on the births for Ada and Carla - they would have to be registered as well.
Perhaps we should look to Sardinia, if that is where the Sanna name came from and watch the spelling of Sana or Sanna.
You are brave woman learning Italian at such a rate!!! Enjoy.
wish I was with you to experience it all.I can almost smell the age of Multepulciano, I'm imaging cobblestones, and vines growing over buildings- am I close?
Are your grocery items more expensive than the local Iga? Do you see elderly Italian folk sitting outside their houses watching the world/tourists go by or is my description way off? Fill me in .
Hope your Italian is shapping up so you can converse with the locals, I expect there are plenty of stories to be told. Look forward to your next entry and hope to see some photos. Love Jane.
Exciting - FInal Count Down Hi Cathy I hope you are over your sickness and are now concentrating on your final countdown to your long kept dream about to become reality. Good on you. I know your always the woman who makes dreams become reality. Rug up and rest because I am sure there will be plenty of misbehaving on your up coming adventure.. You never know you could tie yourself up with a Tuscan Man!!!
This trip to Italy has been a dream for many years and this year, 2012 I give this gift to myself... for being a good girl!
I am creating this blog as a travel diary and hope friends and family will enjoy the armchair ride with me via my photos and travel tales. I intend to update it regularly... but cannot guarantee that I will. I could be too busy misbehaving myself!
