Hi Addison Hi Addison,
OK, I am writing back. So, I am going to tell you the stuff later. So, why did the chicken cross the road?
Me and Max keep playing pinball. I wasted all my money! It is so tempting. If you did it, I am sure you would think it would be so tempting. That is it for now.
Love, Isabel
Ingrid, I don't know how you've pulled this thing off! Don't think I would have made it this long. Have a safe trip home and we'll see you soon.
Martha
Isabelle (addison) Hi Isabelle, I can't wait until you get back. I'm sorry about the Sea Urchin. I miss you so much, I'm very lonely. Maybe when you get back we can have a play date or dinner over at my house. I can't wait to hear about all of your adventures.
Is it getting warmer in Chile?
I have a joke for you. Why did the chicken cross the road (Laugh, Laugh)-------------------------------------------
Answer when you write back.
Beunos Noches, Addison
(Andy) I hope you guys are having fun. It has been great following you along on your travels. The kids want to check the web site every night to see if there is a new journal.
We will see you at the end of the week.
Free Food! Hi,Max our family just got a FREE dinner! At the LaurelWood Pizza co (new, the restaurant moved!) The pizza They made we did not ask for but it was good.So we got it free! it is time for my Rip City Basketball camp. I miss you,Haven
Dear Max and Isabel, I have swim lessons for the whole week. I have two lessons a day. They are polar bear and diving class. The diving class is first and then I take a break and I can play a little with my friend Ian. Then, I have to do a polar bear class and also the classes, if they're named for an animal, you're not supposed to know how to be the animal. They're swim lessons. The highest is park shark. The lowest you swim with your mom. My friend Bayley is a park shark and Sam is a dolphin. Ian and I once had a play date for seven hours! Love, Noah
Saturday Saturday- Love to hear of your adventures. Ingrid, I admire your independence.
Folks have run to the bookstores to collect the final Harry Potter. Don't know if he dies yet or not... and can't tell. Adventure on!
Love, Auntie
I saw the movie too I saw the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie and you are right about how Belatrix if she were an animal would be like a rabbit with fangs or an ugly butterfly. I agree with that. We're doing great and I'm very excited for when you come back. It's extremely bad weather here. The weather people think we're going to have a thunder storm. Love, Henry
Hola Hola Travelers,
Good to hear from you again. All is well, if not a bit damp, in Oregon. We are at Black Butte and Glaze Meadow Pool is quite a bit busier than when you were here. Dodgers are doing well and the Mariners are sneaking up on the Angels. Yippeeee! Love to you all, AC
Hello From Haven Hi,Max I was wondering how many days till you are coming back? I miss you! I just got a new video game that is cool! It must be cold there. when you come back you will burn with the sun. Your friend,Haven
(Hilary here) Hey Ingrid and John, What was the name of the old hotel you stayed in and liked in Chicago. Brian and I want to see if our family can stay there when we go back in August.
hola max & isabel Hi from Jake in Oregon. I hope you're having a fun time, and it sounds like you're having a fun time. We just got back from Utah where it was 104 degrees. We liked seeing your pictures! Please take more. I miss you and can't wait to hear more about your trip. (New Harry Potter comes out on Saturday Max!!... from cathy) See you soon! Be safe. - Jake
hi How are you doing? I'm doing good. Last week it was 105 degrees. It was so hot. I just went to Butte Creek Camp which is for cub scouts. It was so hot that when we were outside you felt like your head was going to catch on fire. I got to fire bow and arrows, ride horses, make a pouch, sleep in a tent which had wood floors and was full of disgusting bugs. A daddy long legs landed on my nose when I was in the tent and I accidentally killed a daddy long legs in my terror. This is how I killed it in my terror: Daddy long legs are attracted to light and I was holding a flashlight near my nose while reading a book because it was dark and the ddl landed on the book, aiming for the light and I was so freaked out that I dropped the book and it killed it and you could see the guts and blood. The blood was brown. We got some new wii games. One of the games is Mario Party 8. Oh, and our house is full of daddy long legs, FYI. Love, Henry
9:29 in Morning Hi Max,our family drove to the Mississippi streat fair Yesterday and met my cousin Jessie there. At my sister's friend's dad's wood shop he had A game like shofle board and I got the highest score. Hope you are having a good time.

Have Fun!! (addison) I miss you too- Portland here is very very warm, rather than "chilly", get it!! No one is home!! except us and a few adults. I hope you guys have made new friends and are having fun. I can't wait until you get home.
(kelly) Well, I think it's time to put Max and Isabel to real work. Rick Steves is certainly lacking in his programs, without the side commentary of two young travelers such are yourselves. My- to see the world through those eyes is priceless. I've truly waited and looked forward to your great descriptions of what you are experiencing. You think I'm kidding? No, I definitely think it would be possible. I'd like to hear more about what locals do for employment and if you will be visiting any schools.
(addison) I would like to know what do you play with the other kids. I hope you are getting along with the other kids. I miss you SO MUCH!! It's very lonely here in Portland without any kids. You are very lucky that you get to see all those beautiful sights and going to Chile.
Hi Max and Isabel. I can't believe you are freezing cold when we are hot here. I went to a new camp this week with my friend Ian and we played every day after. I am very tired. We made cookies, we played games, we did a play. We got to eat cookies. We had lunch. We ate pudding mixed with crumbled up cookies and gummy worms and it was all mixed up but I only like it not mixed up. I'm surprised you guys are going to Chile for a month. A month sounds like a long time. It's uncommon to go to a place for a long time like a month. That sounds like a lot of planes. You guys go on planes a lot. You guys must have been very freezing, very freezing cold in Chile. I can't wait to see you when you get back. love noah
Bird travel page From Isabel as told to mom:
Dear Aunt Carol,
I didn´t see a toucan but I saw a parrot - and this is not a bird but I saw a camel (with two humps) - and this is not a bird - a silly dear that licked my brother on the neck. Ok, back to the birds. I saw lots of flamingoes and one baby one that was black and a bird pooped on my dad´s hand (Chileans say this is good luck) and I have no more things to say.
love Isabel.
p.s. Aunt Carol, do southern birds fly north for the winter? It´s pretty cold here and there are not a lot of birds to be found except the ones we saw in the Santiago Zoo.!
Keep it up We are thoroughly enjoying the news from down under. Winter...imagine that! Guess it's not such a small world after all, Walt. Eager to hear of any bird sightings. Ichiro's signing with the Mariners seems to be imminent. Whoopeeee! Love, Auntie
Thursday And your comments are the highlight of my day! There are just a few days before the final Harry Potter books arrive in the bookstores. There is much speculation as to whether Harry will survive or not. Want to bet?
Love to you all, Auntie
Hot and cold Dear Max and Isabel,
It's only 90 here today so you have missed the really very hot days when it was about a 100. Birds were laying on their backs - on the ground - with their wings spread out. A squirrel was flopped on the top of the fence with his tongue hanging out. I turned the sprinkler on him but he didn't seem to appreciate it. I tried to work outside but soon I was dragging around thinking about a nap. Oh, well, it's supposed to cool down into the 80's by next week.
The only world news here is HARRY POTTER! Harry potter socks, Harry Potter underwear, Harry Potter bananas, Harry Potter flavored Cherioooooos - well, maybe not that one - yet - but soon I bet.
Stay warm and write as often as you can - and more pictures. How else will we know if its really you?
Try to learn one new thing each day, write it in your diary and tell me about it when you get home.
Love, Uncle Jim
Hi Max, I'm saying "hi" from Henry. He is away with Mark at camp for two days. Noah will write to you later. Your appreciation for fish products is admirable. Actually, all your enthusiasm is pretty impressive. You seem to be really enjoying yourself on your great adventure. Portland is cooling off so it's now enjoyable for us to open our doors and let the breeze in. The kids have been going to the Wilson Pool every day. That must sound weird to you now that you've adjusted to winter. Keep those blog updates coming.
Isabel, You intrepid traveller, you. Hopefully you will remember some highlights of this trip when you are older and can entertain your own children with tales of what you did when you were only six! I am very impressed with you. We love reading of your adventures. Henry is at camp for two nights with Mark. Noah has a friend over and is absorbed in one of the many lego sets he got for his birthday. Have you ever stepped on a lego piece? Owwwwww! That's happening a lot in our house right now. Stay warm.....
