I have bought and packed and unpacked 3 bags to check total size, compartments, feasibility, and even carried across tow in new york taxi to check usability.... i went with the Tumi International 22 inch due to post trip longer term usage enablement. Ok, so, yes, we agreed that we would do carryon only. Seems silly and insane, so you may ask Why? Because, a) we don't want the bags to be lost... they may never catch up with us, b) we want to spend the least amount of time in airports as possible...and we have alot of flights, c) we are prone to anal retentive tendencies and want to see if the excel sheet translates into the capacity of the bag.
