I could barely bring myself to include these photos on my blog. We visited the Killing Fields and the S21 via Tuk Tuk. This part of the trip was sobering. It was hard to grasp what had happened to these people and how any human being could be responsible for such horrendous crimes. S21 is where many Cambodians were taken before going out to the killing fields. Many of them were killed right there. As soon as we walked into the place- my urge was to run straight out. We barely made it up stairs. After we were back on ground level, we saw boards full of large head shots of all the prisoners. They were young, old, beautiful, everyday people.
