Ok, so i left off at the Frans Josef glacier hike being cancelled... Whole bus very disheartened at this so lets just say we were thankful there was a bar at our resort to drown our sorrows. It also happened to be a big rugby game - the NZ All Blacks versus Australia. A lot of rivalry between the two sides and quite a big game i was told! Bets were placed and our Australian friend Jess won the bet saying Australia would win (went down like a lead balloon, but we found this even more hilarious) so more drinks were bought. Ou bus driver GP managed to re-arrange our hike for the following day. The best way to cure a hangover i can tell you is to head up a blimin' glacier. A beautiful day, ... read more

Landing in Nadi we headed to the skylodge for a night before embarking on our Bula pass island hopping adventure. Mana Island was our first stop. A resort, well a hostel with a small dorm room, 3 private rooms and a bathroom with a hose and a trickle of water for a shower, in the middle of a local fijian village - the real Fiji. As we arrived the locals sang us a Bula song with slightly altered words, putting in some english words to show their fun, creative side. Spent the day making jewellery from coconuts and went to a nearby island where Castaway starring Tom Hanks was filmed. 'Castaway' Island was unhabited and beautiful. We had snorkels with us and saw the most amazingly colourful reefs and fish. On our last day we went ... read more

Hey Readers, We arrived in New Zealand July 4th, got picked up from the airport by Chris a mate of Lou's and headed into Christchurch. We were staying in a very swanky flat with some of Chris's friends. The heating was sporadic to say the least and the rain was hacking it down. After a night of film watching, warming up and pizza we felt revived and hit the shops on the saturday dragging Sam along too (without too much of a struggle suprisingly). It snowed. A lot. Quite a snow storm in fact. Coats, boots, hats, scarfs, the works were bought! That evening NZ All Blacks were playing South Africa so loads of guys came round to Sam, Charlie and Annabelles flat to general eat, drink and be merry. Afterwards we hit Christchurch and Charlie ... read more

Feels like a long time since we last wrote and this may be a long one so apologies in advance if it goes on a bit... So, last time we had just got to San Francisco. Our hostel was right in the city centre so walking into town and having a look around the shops was far too easy. After a few purchases (good old Abercrombie and Fitch, we seem to go into one each place we go to) we called it a day as it was late and headed for some noodles. The next day we braved the trolley, a cable car which takes you straight to the coast called Fishermans Wharf. From here you can see Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, 'the Bushman', Pier 33 (or 39..) which is covered in Seals. We ... read more

It is day 7 of our USA roadtrip. We have toured around Hollywood and seen many stars homes and places of interest such as the balcony that Richard Gere propses to Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, the Hollywood sign, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anistons old house, Beckingham Palace and the Playboy Mansion to mention a few. Walked along the golden star walk of fame and got accosted by Yoda, Batman and many a Marilyn Munroe. Our next celeb appearing on CelebSpot was Mo from Eastenders. Not quite topping Mike Tyson but exciting all the same. We have a 4x4 Suzuki jeep (free upgrade from our economy tin-can on wheels, get in!) with all the modcons which we drove for 10 hours up through Santa Cruz to Pigeon Point Lighhouse, our next bed for the night. Took ... read more

Meeting at the airport with parents in tow we found each other with ease. A good start! Get to the flight lounge and we meet our first celeb...Mike Tyson, oh yeah! After a delay of two hours sitting on the plane we set off on a 13 hour stretch of food, films and no leg room. We arrived in LA hot and disheveled and go have a chat with our new mate Mike. See photos, we no lie. We found our hostel, get checked in and off to the beach for a look around. On the beach there was a massive drum festival with a swarm of people. Lots of friendly faces but so tired we went to our private room for a well needed sleep. Now we are to plan the next 3 weeks road ... read more
