wildlife abounds wherever you go! I really enjoyed looking at your blog Sue. Can you get it sent as an alert by email when you do it, as I didn't know it was there.
Fires Yes, in certain places you can light fires as long as they are contained in a suitable fireplace except when there is a total fire ban (usually in the heat of summer). It was a little cool at night near the water so it was nice to sit around the fire.
Mon's birthday Thanks Sue and Steve for giving Mon a lovely birthday dinner. Looks like fun was had by all- especially the salsa fight.
Mon and Meg are here as you know and it is great to see them. This will be Sarah's last week which is a bit sad. Shell and I will miss her. She has been great company. Rick is due home next Sunday (hopefully), He is leaving Fitzroy Island on Wednesday afternoon ferry and picking up a campervan in Cairns on Thursday morning. then starts the big drive home. At least he'll be able to bring all his tools and gear back and not have to trust them to a courier. He got a relocation with the camper = costs $1 per day plus petrol and insurance to return to Sydney. A long drive though!!!!!
Hope all's well with you.
Lots of love
