We arrived in Chiang Mai early in the morning with lots of time to get settled into our guesthouse and tour the city’s 300 temples, or maybe only a few of them. Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand and situated in the north, closer to the Burma border. The city is a beautiful moated city surrounded by mountains. Here we adopted a fourth member of our group, Julie, a young consultant from Toronto. Most of the day was spend touring local temples with one trip out of the city to see a mountain temple. That night we did a Thai cooking class learning how to make authentic Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup, Thai Curries and various other Thai dishes. The real fun for me started that night at the Chiang Mai Night Bizarre.
