The trip begins in Malaysia - Julia's entry Our first stop was a few days in Kuala Lumpur. We were both exhausted and just needed to sleep more than anything else. I would love to say we did all sorts of cultural things but really, we just slept, ate, swam and shopped. It was great. On our last day in KL Stephen insisted that we do something cultural and suggested we go to the Batu Caves. The Batu Caves were discovered in 1892 and are situated thirteen kilometers (seven miles) north of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. They are the sacred place for the Hindu's in Malaysia.
