Your pictures are beautiful. I like the spires! Amazing snowy cliffs too. Wish I could ski. I do like the last picture too, of the pine cones. The President of Kirkwood, has purchased Sierra Summit, and is renaming it back to China Peak, the name it used to go by years ago. Thanks for another great blog.

what trail?
Planning to explore this area this year. We HAVE to do this hike. Looking at a map, the area is just big enough and with enough trailheads marked, that we're confused. Can you provide specifics of which trail you hiked and where the trailhead is located, please? Thank you!!!

Wonderful blog and pics
Dear Paul, I just started my travelblog (although I've been travelling for 30 years) and stumbled across yours. Wonderful to read and lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing and keep wandering. If more people in the world were to open up, travel and broaden their minds, we could eliminate so many problems the world is facing.

Welcome to the nirwana of divers!
Darwin's Arch, it will always remain very special for me, I was there back in Feb 2008. No whalesharks, but hey, saw them again few days ago in Djibouti. Now you've got to put Tubbataha and Palau on your list, these are my three prefered. Still have to do Cocos, PNG, Rangiora/Fakarava...but coming soon. For now, next stop is Havelock, not the best diving in the world, but one of the nicest beach...and many cuddles. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Where is your next diving?
