Paris! Yes, I'm one quarter French too! My paternal grandmother grew up in France. Both my grandmothers grew up during WWII, so you can imagine the arguements they would get into over WWII! I had to wait til I was older to understand why they were arguing....
I'm babbling now so I'll catch ya later.
Whoohoo Germany! I am partial to Germany cause I'm one quarter German, my maternal grandmother was born and grew up in Berkenfield. Sorry if I spelt that town wrong, too Americanized I guess!
Old Women hm. odd woman...at least she was embarassed! did joleyne meet up to your expectations? I know you were talking to her online for a while there...
About the ß This simbol is called an Eszett. It stands for a double "s" in many German words. The dots over the first three symbols are called umlauts. They can also be written as "ae", "oe", and "ue". They change the basic sound of the word. The fifth symbol is a common symbol meaning "micro-". It is usually combined as µm meaning micrometer. It is equivalent to 1/10,000 of a centimeter, or the length of an average bacterial cel.The last symbol is a degree sign which is also used very commonly. It is not on the american keypad because it is not used as often and would not fit even if it was. The y and z keys are switched because keys are placed so that the words are harder to accidentally type. In English they are in one place, but on almost any other keyboard, the letters are switched.
I really miss you, but I bet you are having fun.
Answer to the "B" - type symbol on signs Was able to ask Carie about meaning of the "B" symbol - it stands for 2 ss's busineB or = business. Well write more later
Hey Man! Hey this is your cousin Evan. What hostel are you staying in? I have some really good friends there right now that are staying at the "Flying Pig." Also, let me know if you want any suggestions of where to go. I love Amsterdam!
Glad you're alright! Hey- glad you're alright. Most of that stuff probably (hopefully) happens at night, but you might find a lot of pickpockets there! You're going to germany right? check out the red light district in hamburg if you can (you can take the subway thing to it)...there's a street only you, my male friend, can go down. appearantly it's crazy.
WOW is right !! So happy to hear from you. What an encounter, you are always in our prayers.

The Redlight District! I'm so glad that you've written another entry! I've been eagerly awaiting to hear more of your journey. I would have expected the redlight district to be different from what you described. Be safe and I await another entry. ~Porcelain_doli
Sleeping You sound like you've got the sleep bit down- just go with the day of where you are. You'll adjust quickly enough. Sorry if it's raining quite a bit, it's the rainy season in europe right now! Though I've heard from David that it's not as bad this year? Don't know, not there, would love to be though! Don't beat yourself up over the missed transport, you'll do fine. You've got plenty of time to travel...bad timing to come back! I"m leaving the night after you arive bud. Jess and Jearime are convinced that you aren I are really one person- when I move home, you leave. When you come back, I leave. *tsk tsk* OH well- cheer up though bud! I"m sure you're having a great time in Amsterdam!
Ooh, Poor Sasquatch I'm sorry, I didn't know that the tube stations were under repair. You got there eventually though. You are right, central london is crazy. People have to drive like maniacs to get anywhere in a reasonable time, there are a lot of them, so lots of exhaust, and it's very crouded. But you were also jet lagged, which made you more susseptable. Just relax, you'd love it if you stayed longer and further from central. YOu just have to get the rhythym of london- it's really really fast!
Tuesday Hi Shawn, hope you made it there ok with out any more delays. Are you also watching your email? Would some times like to write to it instead of in here. Love you! Look forward to your next entery. XXOO
Oooh, nooo! Ouch! Who would have thunk! Sounds as if everything is sooo much different there! It will be interesting to see how your body reacts once you get back home. Almost sounds like an interesting mad house w/the transits, streets, etc. Sure will be interesting once you get to other places and compare. Take Care! We Love You and are Thinking About you constantly! Thanks for all your blogs! Gotta love those accents - huh!?!
Some Trip Sounds like you've had quite a trip so far. I can't wait to see the pictures you took of London. Take care and I'm looking forward to your next post.
Miss talking to you on messenger...
Bye London Leaving London behind already - Times flies, doesn't it? I'll go there someday. But Amsterdam should be ax experience. I've heard good and bad things about it, so it will be interesting to hear your take on it.
