Have taken note of several of your trips as it is now only 6 weeks before we leave for Auckland !! A few days there, a week at Orere Point, then 6 weeks in the bush camper.!! So pleased you had a great Christmas. I too was able to speak with the Fricke's and Nobles. to hear they have decided to visit Canada in 2009 !!!! Very exciting. Also there will be a bash for Gorden and Linda in August. We are hoping to get to England for a few weeks and a visit as it has been 6 years since I was "home"... Hope to see you both then !!?? Would love to show Peter what is left on Nottingham Forest !!! Hope you celebrate the New year in style ( we will be in front of the fire with a roast beef dinner !!) and do have a very Happy, Healthy, Exciting and Prosperous 2007. Love to you both. Pam and Peter. |
| 26th December 2006 J,S,J,E & B | All the Best for a different sort of Crimbo! - From: We love this place, yeah yeah Well, this will certainly been a different sort of christmas guys! You will be in Aus now, and the weather will be al lot warmer and more inviting. We have no snow - but its drizzly and murky (when its not foggy). Weve enjoyed your blogs. Glad to hear you are both keeping well. Christmas has been enjoyable here and the kids are busily learning how to use their 'gadgets'. We are popping to see your mum and dad on Thurs - having lunch and taking pressies etc. Take care - keep safe. Love the Gang from Sproatley xx |
| 25th December 2006 Linda & Peter Fricke | Merry Christmas - From: Idyllic Islands Here's to Australia, m'dears! |
| 7th December 2006 Becka | Congratulations on your apparent survival - From: "Good luck...don't die" What-ho there! All sounds frightfully outdoorsy and healthy, no to mention athletic. Would just like to say that my new job is fabulous, which makes a nice change (after going though 8 in a year, a girl has to get lucky some time...). me and that nice young man are still, well, nauseating (because I know you enjoy that description so much!!). Looking forward to your return to the UK and moving to London with the rest of us. Enjoy yourselves, children xxx |
| 5th December 2006 Mum F | Nice fashion items! - From: "Good luck...don't die" I'm glad to see that you are taking following fashion seriously with your "interesting" black suits, pink hats and white boots! Thanks to your blogs, Dad and I are seriously thinking of keeping up with the children and following in your footprints for a few weeks after we have retired-provided we can find someone to look after the cat! You will be glad to know that we don't seem to have had as much rain as you two in the last few months, perhaps it is saving it up for you when you return. Keep safe. Love from Mum and Dad F |
| 22nd November 2006 Jen & Steve, J,E & B | Steve's a green eyed monster!! - From: Aoraki Adventurers Well we've been keeping track of your fantastic experiences and the kids now act as if it's the norm to be glasier walking and mountain climbing/hiking etc!! I showed Jaz the article in the NZ mail of the 'Max Robber' - her comments being 'Oh he's scarey - he's got a quiff!!' Mmmm - she's got a lot of learning to do yet! Steve silently reads your blog - with massive comments such as 'mmmmmm' and 'not bad' - well what else would we expect from him eh? Occasionaly, his top lip tightens and he gets figity, thats when I know he's really envious! Anyway - keep safe and enjoy - love from us all xxx |
| 3rd November 2006 McGinley Clan | Green eyed monsters! - From: West Coast Wanderers Hi guys. Thanks for your text wishing Séamus a happy birthday, I wasn't sure if my message got back to you in reply, so I thought I'd drop you a line on here instead. Séamus and I are sooooooo jealous you went glacier walking, it's something we'd both love to do (a bit hard with a toddler and pre-schooler in tow though!), we don't mind missing out on the Puzzle World though, especially as I'm suffering with morning (well, morning, noon and night) sickness at the moment - yep, you're going to be Uncle Simon and Auntie Alex for a third time round! Baby #3 is due 8th May 2007! Keep up with the blog entries, it's great to see and hear how you're both getting on, and Connor and Erin like looking at your photos of where you've been! Take care guys and look forward to catching up with you when (if!?!?) you ever come back to the UK!!! Love Cathy, Séamus, Connor, Erin & Bump. xxxxx |
| 17th October 2006 Simon and Alex | - From: Wind and wineries There's nothing wrong with good food and booze. | 2nd August 2006 timjordanio | A meeting with Alan... - From: Kensie Returns! Good morrow Simone and Alex! So NZ is your new playground for the next few months? I hope young Max treats you kindly upon your traverse around the islands! Adopting the guise of your PA, I have a potential meeting arrangement that you may want to take up... Young Henry and his ladyfriend Katie will be working for 6 months in a hospital near to Wellington (I think!), and will be in NZ in abouts 2 weeks time (they're in LA/San Diego etc. until then - rumour has it they're going to tie the not in the Chapel o'Love, Elvis stylee). So...I'll inform Henry-Hoo about your residence in NZ, and perhaps you can meet up for a rendezvous!?! I'll email you with further info Simon...ciao for now! Timothy |

| 20th July 2006 JRS | Bus Journeys - From: Walking with dinosaurs I need to fix a ride for you on a clapped-out ex-French military bus along a rainy season West African road (?) as you enter a village - where the settlement outskirts marker is a (fairly fresh) skull on a stick - so that you can make a definitive statement on the awfulness of bus jouneys ......
