Prima Kings The Prima was definitely the best hotel that we stayed at on the trip, I have no idea what the cost is because it was a group subsidized trip, but the rooms were nice - although a "double" room is just one bed - the food was excellent and the location is walking distance to both Ben Yehuda street and the old city.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
what did you think!? Hey! I saw that you stayed at the Prima Kings... what did you think of the hotel? I have heard really great things and I am planning on staying there in May... let me know your thoughts.. sounds like a cool trip to Israel!
"cultural things" the lying thing must include all of central/south america, only just so you know they probably don't consider that lying, but rather "not telling the whole truth". the whole truth most likely being that a bus schedule doesn't exist at all, but they've probably SEEN the bus come at different moments within the 10:30 to 11:30 time frame - but whether or not it will come at that exact time again, or whether or not it will even come at all, is a mystery.
I miss you! Wow, Shosh, your trip sounds amazing so far! I can't wait to see pictures! Volcano boarding sounds like THE COOLEST thing ever. I love that you got to hold a snake and that they provided a complimentary cocktail, haha. Stay safe, have fun, love you!
a quiet shoshana is about as believable as a quiet caroline i too was SILENT for the first 4 months of my job, it was really strange. like, didn't utter a word. then when i'd meet up with my american friends i'd talk about three times as much just to make up for it, yeah i feel really bad for them. the keyboards do take some getting used to, i still often type "_" when i want to type a question mark and there's a random portuguese letter that i always press instead of enter, but that might just be in argentina.
on the note of forgetting things, i realized on the way down here after christmas that i didn't have any of my flight return information and had to call my mom from the plane to get my flight number and date only to find out that they didn't care and didn't ask me. ohhhh foreign country customs. i also forgot my bag of makeup when i came down for the first time. despite all that stuff, it sounds like you're off to a good start! keep us updated.
que buenooo i thoroughly enjoyed this post. snorkling in the islands of thailand sounds like the most amazing thing in the world, and seeing as the seafood in argentina is some of the worst i've ever had (sufficiently UN-fresh and well, let's just say, 'too fishy'-tasting) that meal of fresh red snapper and cold white wine sounds absolutely glorious. i feel your pain paying for the expensive hotel, but it sounds like you had no other option, and even though you didn't use it at least you got to see thailand go to sleep and wake up. and funny comment about the dog thing...when i was in cosquín this weekend, this dog literally followed us for about a mile, all the way from the river to my friend's house, and parked himself outside the door all day and was still there when we went to sleep that night. i think as americans we're sort of not used to the concept of "stray dogs", but here there are almost as many as there are homeless people. which is saying a lot. enjoy your last few days in SE asia!!!
can't wait to have you home! Shosh, I'm so glad you kept a travel blog so we could all be so up-to-date on your holiday happenings. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself (I mean how could you not ). I wish I could have slept on a beach with stray animals last night. Can't wait to see you this weekend! Have a safe trip home.
You better have presents when you return Because I'm so jealous of your awesome travels. Sounds like you had quite the feisty little bike!
I don't know what else to say except that it's 28 degrees here and I'm wearing an itchy wool jacket and updating spreadsheets. You, on the otherhand, and riding all over SE Asia and eating delectible things and lounging in the sun.
Robot Art Gallery?! That sounds pretty cool- those Asians sure know how to embrace the future. I'm glad you didn't die on the motorcycle.
Who's Laura and how did you guys meet?
Anyways, have fun this last week of your trip! We longingly await your return...
I don't know what to write here But your posts are really giving me faith in the goodness of man. You really have met some great sounding people along the way!
Good job not getting raped (and being prepared in the off chance) adn getting to your destination!
I always felt like Scarlett O'Hara when she said "I always depend on the kindness of strangers" or whatever, but in your cases and my experience; it tends to be true.
I don't know if you'[ve noticed this yet... but I feel a need to comment on every single post (and I believe I'm always the first one)
Those German guys sound fun and I'm so glad you seem to find good friends everywhere you go. Keep up the good times sistahhhh
You are so courageous! I am so happy you are sharing this journey with us; you have a wonderful story to tell and hope pictures to go along with it. I am so glad to read you are okay and you are meeting special people along the way.
Sooo, you really have become a fan of the metric system on this trip... "go native!" I suppose...
Sounds like Singapore was a very relaxing and worthwhile destination, I'm glad you had fun!
What's sugarcane juice taste like and what's a rose apple? ( I imagine some rose flavored aplle slices?)
Keep the updates coming and PACE out~
I'm not sure I really have a "favorite place" since they are all so different but if I had to choose I would say the Perhentian Islands were incredible, and everyone is so nice and the island is so small that it's just like a little community.
When you find yourself completely weighed down by all the stuff you buy, just set yourself up as a vendor and spend a day selling it all back to the locals.
Are you going to come home a different race? Because that will only make me look that much more albino...
Ohh Shoshy, it sounds like you are having a most delightful time, as well as brushing up on your descriptive writing skills! What a useful combo of relaxation and prose.
Enjoyyyyyy :)
i saw your pictures and as i commented on facebook, they DO look exactly like the argentine buses. i hope for your sake you got a single-seater and there were no crying babies.
I agree with Uncle Dan, cancel the other apps. and i hate to be annoying, but am i the only one who's noticed that traci has twice spelled the word "travellor" like a brit? in american english we use one l. sorry, had to do it.
in fact i haven't been doing very much with excel spreadsheets lately, but i have had my fair share in the past as we all know. but i, too, hate you. the closest i get to a tropical paradise are these two fake beaches they've recently constructed at opposite ends of the city, that try to make you feel like you're at the beach by having recliner chairs, sand, and volleyball nets, and a view of the water, which is actually a small, dirty lake that you aren't allowed to go in due to health hazards. ohhh argentina.
Just do it Go shopping...
sounds like the excellent trip continues. I'm glad you're being safe, and it souds like those Europeans need to get it together and stop all this rif raf and risk taking!
