Thank you!
Hello there, thank you so much.......I try to only write them when I'm in the best of moods....however sometimes that's few and far between. I have changed from the begining.....it happens and there's nothing you can do. However, with my nervous as nilly father reading my blogs, I try to keep them upbeat and make folks laugh while they're sitting in their cubes, you know. I'd be happy to give you the real skinny of what it's like day after day on the road....but probably will write a candid blog on my return home. But again, thank you, I really really appreciate it.

Blessings and such
Amy I love this blog entry! Pleeeeeease cook thai food for me when you get home! :) I'm so jealous of all of your adventures. How wonderful! Meanwhile, I love that you received a blessing from a Hindu priest, and instruction on how to meditate from a Buddist monk. I love your spirit of adventure and wonder. Could I please go on a trip with you sometime? Just amazing! :)

The Feelers of the World....
Wow! I'm sure she was a sicko so what does it really matter???? A definite downside to traveling on your own would be going overboard to ensure you have your own back. Too bad, sooo sad for them, I woulda done the same thing. Forget that and let's think about the silk factories in Bangkok. Momma Gay said she, Alisha, and Leon had beautiful silk suits made in 1 day! They came to their hotel, fitted them, then brought these gorgeous suites, complete w/ shirts, back to their hotel the same day. I would love for that to be your Christmas present.....He misses you too. I can't wait for Heather and I need Jennies #.....oxoxox Mum

What a great read!
I’m just working my way through your blog as I’m travelling on my own round S/E Asia from July. I'm sure it was horrible at the time but this blog entry made me "Laugh out loud" a few times. Great righting as you painted the picture of panic so well! I experienced very similar on my first trip to India! (I went for a jog down the beach and ended up being the pied piper for stray dogs, t’was hilarious). Asia is a funny place, since it’s so different to home (Im from England BTW). Once you get used to it you'll fall in love with those differences (As i'm sure you already are) . Most times perceived sketchiness is just their way of doing things. It is always better to be safe than sorry especially as a lone woman traveller. I hope you have the time of your life and I look forward to hearing your exploits. It’s getting me very excited for my own trip!

Walking to and fro
Wow. I've read over and over the part where we "put our ideas on the thoughts then give it meaning". I will be thinking about this for a long time as I always thought I was just being efficient... As we are triune, (I thought that was a word but I can't find in dictionary, but since I need it, I'll just go ahead and use...) beings, I consider Buddhism experts in the soulish realm. Is below link the Temple where you were??? http://davesworldtravel.com/2009/bangkok-thailand-its-the-place-to-be Let me know when exactly you will be hanging w/ the elephants. I don't care what the good Monk advises, I will be thinking of you at that particular time no matter what I'm doing. Love you to the moon, oxoxo Mum

HELLO BANKOK!
Enis! Or who-ever! I can see you are having the time of your life! You can see where the statement "travel is broadening" came from, right? Keep sampling the foreign life most Okies never imagine, just keep the BeGees attitude from their song, "Staying Alive" running in your head and your trip will be a lasting memory you will always own! Take care! Islandman

Great blogs babe. Pure Ames wit and wisdom. We should get you your own cable show. I know the face you made when the monk talked about dropping bombs. But your blogs really make me hungry, well except the turles. Keep 'em coming. Enjoy my darlin'. Godspeed and God kept in your travels. You shine with the rest of His beautiful creations out there. All my love

words of wisdom
Love the words of wisdom!!!! Monks and cooks rock. I'm sure the drink never tasted better. Did you concentrate on the moment of the drink and the total effect of it? Can't wait to experience that and a dinner when you get back.

You rock!
What an excellent travel blog! I'm so happy for you! It's like being there with you, or being able to peek over your shoulder, so cool! Thank you for being such a courageous traveler.

Thai Cuisine
OK Ames, just looked at the mouth watering pic of baby turtles & either baby snakes or big juicy worms! Just wondering if you, by chance, take anything after your mom in the food department. Must not seeing how you're in Thailand. Just one trip to a grocery store in China Town in OKC did me in! I think maybe those turtles & snakes might have been there. Is McDonald's in Thailand? The sights and smells
Oh my little lovie! I got a really good visual as you described the open air stench from the markets. I lost my appetite for days in the D.R. Keep on the look out for a Taco Bueno. You'll be fine! Hugs and walk with courage.

Yo!
HI BABY! I'm so excited! I was a little fretful as I didn't know about blog and I hadn't had e-mails in two days. Sara now has me all hooked up w/ your blog now so I'm good to go. Bless you heart on the food! I 'bout went under when I was in Peru and right off the bat, saw a picture of the Last Supper with that wonderfully traditional Peruvian delicacy, a Guinea-Pig where the bread was supposed to be.....put me right off my fare...for two weeks....So jealous about the massage. Think I'll go to this afternoon and ask the girls on the corner if they can do. Will advise but get some pointers in case. REAL cold and windy here. Nothing happening that you're missing. Except for me missing you. oxoxo Mum
