As for boots you will get a crapload of advice. The cheap route is to get some boot covers or go with the Tourmaster waterproof boot which are about $100 or so. Bates also makes some tacticle waterproof boots. Me.....I don't like any laces while on a bike. I opted for Cruiserworks boots and have been quite happy. Sidi makes some great boots too. The last 2 options mentioned are a little pricy by comparisson.
Awesome ride report yet again. The three finger gloves are great. I have a pair of RainOff over gloves and they are great for wet and cold weather. Wet socks are a bummer!
