We never thought we would be able to share in your trip. We expected the odd text, phone call and email. Instead your fantastic writing and photos have included us in everything, everywhere in your travels..an enormous thank you to you both..also for my lovely holiday with you in Prague, Vienna and Ireland.
Transport We bought a Rome pass for 20 Euros each. This gave us entry into two museums (we chose Ostia Antica and the Colosseum / Roman Forum) and three days of free transport. We used the red and blue metro train lines, which allowed us to get from Termini station to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Colosseum and Ostia Antica. We couldn't work out the bus system, so walked everywhere else. There were long queues to buy train tickets when we were there, so it was great being able to walk straight through the gates with our 3 day transport card. Hope this helps!
Transportation My husband and I are planning our 1st trip to Italy. What transportation did you use while in the city? THANKS! I was awesome looking at your pictures.
gelato Sean - I have never seen anyone look soooo sad at fininishing a gelato - I hope that you enjoyed it, it may be a long time before you get back to Rome to have another one
Translation from my Irish engagement message last time Congratulations! It is between between betrothal and marriage you are.May your cup overflow with health and happiness.Well done!..(thanks to Kate and Meabh)
keep 'em coming.. again more sniggering from reading your blogs, great work people, keep up the task of hard holiday explorations to make me smile and feel envious at the same time. Love Alex
Engagement ! Comhghairdeas! Idir dail agus posadh ata sibh.
Go gcuire bhur gcupan thar maoil le slainte agus sonas.
Maith sibh!
These public wishes are a little late, and my time is up in 2 minutes on the library comp. in Magherafelt, so the translation will follow!
Oh Vienna! Your Vienna blog has brought back many happy memories! And a special request for the girls...can you pick up a (cheap) cute Christmas decoration in the Vienna Christmas markets? We love decorating our tree with things that come from rellies all over the world. Thanks and looking forward to seeing you both soon -glasses of champers waiting for a belated engagement celebration!
thank you for the laughs am not sure why this one made me smile so much as your others have been just as amusing, but this one cheered up my grey english day, thank you. Can't wait to see you all at Christams, I am really looking forward to it. And Sean I have a couple of jobs lined up, my loft hatch is broken, my bathroom needs regrouted and our drive way needs jack hammered and Andrew has mentioned something about the garden shed!!! Cheers bet you can't wait.

Crete Your tales and pictures of Greece have us pining.....you can see why we loved Crete on honeymoon..completely chilled out atmosphere, fab sunshine, infinity pools and seriously good food. We are SO jealous. Thanks for the postcard and hope Austria's going well -will be in touch soon. Girls miss you both too.
PS And thanks for being kind enough not to let on to everyone how hard we made you work!
PPS It was 26deg C on Ballycastle beach last week -our 3 day summer arrived at last
jealous Dad Haven't you got nasty withdrawal symptoms from work yet?.....Dad wants to know, ...he is getting jealous reading about beautiful scenery, lovely trips and gorgeous food, plus no job....he says if you do get an irresistible urge for industry, the rusty verandah is still here waiting for you.
so, so great seeing you both the title says it all, it was so lovely seeing you both, come back soon pretty please, I wont make you work as hard. Niamh misses you both, and keeps asking when you two are coming back from your long walk! a little confused was our Niamh...and you forgot to mention how Sean kept his hand in by doing a brilliant job rewiring my faulty lights and ensuring we lived to see another wet day down here.
Sean's Notes Thanks Bro. I have to say that I did not think it would be cool to spend my 28th Birthday at Disney land, but it was a fantastic place. The fireworks would have been the best I have ever seen and the place was so efficiently managed. The Rusty shirt has a few more days in it yet. Also, take note of our scores in the Buzz light year photograph.
Sean's Words Escaping from Alcatraz was pretty easy. Cyclying over the golden gate bridge with the wind behind was pretty easy. Carrying the bicycle up to Coit tower, and again up Lombard street was bloody difficult... but then coasting down them was excellent!
Amazing photos and views and news. Reading this was just like a trip down into the Grand Canyon, from the comfort of our recliners...what a climb, up and down and sideways, but what an achievement.
Rusty Shirt It's nice to see you're getting good mileage out of that shirt bro!
Happy Birthday....way too late, but I don't think you got my text message somehow.
We love it ! 23/5/08
Sean and Megan, This blog of your travels is brilliant; flat tyres, beanies in bed, sunsets in Mexico, Disneyworld photos, snow capped Arizona mts. and hummingbirds.
We love it all, esp. the writing, and hope you can keep us supplied with more.
Happy travelling !
