evening quality pictures mate, well jealous of you making adams dinner and meeting. I heard rickardsson was fast enough to be competitive. Can't be long until your home, enjloy!
it's all gone quiet over there......... still alive? how was burns night? get any haggis? there's certainly enough sheep over there to make a few of them.
here's something to make you think of Scotland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4-JOD9LoQ8
Yes doing my best to avoid the floods. Plans have changed somewhat. Was going to Horsham - flooded. And Great Ocean Road, partial land slip.
So decided to spend more time by the beach probably 7 days getting burnt to a crisp.
Other sports, AFL pre-season training has started and fitba is on-going but it's standard is marginally above Junior fitba back home.
Going to watch more motorbikes as a result of change to plans.
Although could get to like this beach life..... ;-)
early morning run on the beach? you sound like Mackay! just make sure you have your water wings incase you get swept away. i take it you haven't encountered any/much of the flooding? are there no other sports on over there apart from cricket and fecking motorbikes?
Afternoon Yup, too easy to drink. Very nice stuff though. It's magic over here. I've been very lucky re weather given the disaster up country. Currently in Adelaide and due to go to the beach, travel plans are likely to change may no longer be going to Great Ocean Road. Not sure if chopper is looking at the blog, tell him about it if he isn't he should enjoy it.
Will see what i can do on the duty free front on way home re Bundy (they are available in cans also).
S
rum and coke in a bottle? what a wonderful idea. i hope you have the luggage space to bring a few crates of that back with you for consumption at Edin airport carpark on 9 Feb?
sounds like you're having a braw time. no doubt Chopper will be creaming himself at the mention of all these speedway greats/legends....
Cheers Chris. Yes I'm enjoying things so far not least the weather, shorts and t-shirt from morning until bedtime. The updates will be a bit of a mish mash of touristy/sporty and probably (when I remember my camera) pubby (if that's even close to being a word).
Anyhoo enjoy.
You lucky, lucky guy! Well, I missed this - switched on to Radio 4 in the morning at 7:30 and listened, stunned, as they explained what had happened overnight. Probably a once in a lifetime - or certainly generation - event. The closest I can compare it to would be Headingly 1981. Some day I hope we'll get to see something nearly as good!
I'm guessing it's about 5:30 a.m. on NYD - so you're probably not up at this stage... unless you still are! Hope you're having a good time and that more postings follow.
Lovely to catch up Was great to catch up and glad you enjoyed the day. Undera is a little hidden gem, I wish it was closer to the big smoke and it was easier to attract bigger crowds but I always enjoy my visits there. Hope the rest of the trip goes well and the highlights keep coming thick and fast.
Australia beckoned again (last here/there in 2003 and had to go back) this time I've picked to travel around Victoria (mostly) with a brief detour to South Australia (Adelaide) or at least that is the tentative plan.
