Snorkelling in the Philippines
From reading your blogs that the 2 best places to snorkel in the Philippines is Apo Island and El Nido? Do you have any other locations you would reccommend? I am going in May.

volunteering @IUBAT
Hi I've done quite a bit of traveling in SE Asia - including a couple of months in India, but have never done any volunteer work during my travels. Having heard about IUBAT from a colleague I am thinking of applying for a volunteer position there teaching nursing - and so am very excited to have come across your travel blog!! I work as a street nurse in the North Okanagan area of BC - a real generalist working with persons who are homeless and/or otherwise marginalized. I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit more about what your typical day as a volunteer nursing instructor was like when you were there? What might they want me to teach there? ect. I am very enthused about the idea - but want to make sure that I was actually able to contribute something to their program. Thanks so much, Rhodina

Wonderful Photos
Robin, Alan - I haven't checked for a while. The area sounds fascinating and the photos are great. We can't wait to talk to you and plan a visit to the area with you advice. You're still sounding well and seem full of energy. We're doing just great here too. Busy, but we're going to take some time to head out to visit family in Ab this weekend. Hopeful that Kelsey (38 today) and Sarah can come out for a few days before, but the markets are going crazy and he may not be able to. We're planning to drop into Nelson and Grand Forks on the return portion of our trip. I'll encourage everyone to log in, read and send a message. Love et al, David
