Beautiful British Columbia, the start point for my coast to coast trip. Growing up on Vancouver Island was a pleasure, with beaches that range from the picturesque white sand to the treacherous seeming barnacle covered rocks. Although Vancouver Island is mainly populated by seniors and the Comox Valley, my home, has a median age of 52, there is still a variety of places to go where you can be guaranteed to see outdoor enthusiasts. Many walking trails lead to beautiful water landscapes, for example the Nymph Falls walking trails lead to Bourber's Hole a favourite amoung locals for its jumping rock and clay deposits. As well these walking trails lead to Nymph Fall's which they are aptly named after, while only a few meters away from Bourber's the scenary is completely different. Slate rock broken off
