eclipse?
HI Guys, This is so fascinating to "follow" you on your trip. Did you "see" the solar eclipse a couple of weeks ago? Didn't see a mention of it in the blog. You're doing GREAT! XO D

and Bao He right back at you!
I'm believing in the Astrology reading. What a well described adventure you're both having. I'm in awe (and occasionally horrified) but Mom seems to be grabbing the gusto. [I'm just back from printing (and eating) in Italy, was also on some trains, and passed up cavallo for coniglio (horse for bunny). ] You're an inspiration, carry on girls! Bao He.

delhi belly sounds dreadful...felt sick reading about it...but your trip (and your beautiful prose) sounds life-altering....hard to imagine a life so different than the one you lead here...love the commentary

SO happy to get your newest blog ! Thank goodness for Monsoon season (?) and fancy Hotels w/ internet. I was starting to shake my computer to...give me more blog !!! I'm a little concerned about my recent addiction. Did you get to see the eclipse ? I'll tell you this to try to alleviate some reverse culture shock ( yeah, right!). So You Think You Can Dance...8 dancers preform...1 performance, ...the judges cried, the dancers cried, the choreographer cried...Nigel cried !!! You'll know it when you see it. Can't wait to see you, can't bear to stop getting your blogs! Love - Sandy

I just came back from 5 days in Cape Cod. Gorgeous and relaxing, but I envy you the exoticism of your travels. Wonderful, visual writing! Looking forward to more. XO D

Loving reading your entries....
I love the way your writings about your travels have taken on different forms and different voices. A very post-modern approach! Perhaps your different ideas about what your travels mean to each of you, and how that is reflected into your writing, would make an excellent book! Sasha, I am curious...where are you thinking you'd like to go post high school and what do you think you'd like to study? I have truly enjoyed reading these entries...thanks for including the link on my travel blog (now I have officially subscribed!)!!

Amazing
It feels as if I was there while reading your blog. Picturing your mom laying on the plane resting was a pleasant visual for me. I am glad to hear that you made a quick recovery and did NOT have to complete the tour without the fully loaded ipod. Love to you both and enjoy this time together, it certainly sounds amazing so far. Oh how I want to go to the Taj..... xoxo

Hi gfriendgrlz
Sasha, this is the coolest blog I've ever read. You two are an intrepid and inspirational pair of travellers.
16th July 2009

Thanks for including me in the trip
Your descriptions are fantastic. Now if they could only include the sounds of your surroundings - it would be a joy to hear the hustle and bustle of India. I've always wanted to go and now I'm traveling there, vicariously, through your experiences. Give Mom my best.

this is fabulous
Sasha- You write so beautifully and colorfully that I almost feel like I am there, minus the heat. Your trip sounds fascinating. My love to you and your mom. My trip on the cape is relaxing and fun, but not much of an adventure....cannot wait to hear more. lots of love, lyn

Wow! Your trip sounds so exciting so far! Your visit to the Taj Mahal sounds amazing--I can't wait to see pictures! :) Just curious, though-- why did they take your playing cards? I hope you're having a wonderful time! <3, Mona

The magnificent smile
I absolutely love the story about the driver and the ipod. I will be telling that stories into my old age, "When my friends were in India they wanted to visit the Taj Mahal..." A testament to the intrinsic goodness of humankind. ♥

It seems I will be in for a dose of healthy jealousy as you make your way through your travels. You both are very lucky for the trip and to spend quality time with each other. Let's catch up when you return (and after you bathe). Keep safe (and always carry an emergency iPod). I am hopeful for a Taj snow globe please !!!!
