We're doing the best we can in a place like this! Hi Sara,
I just went online to show Viv this site (everyone else is outside).
Viv says she enjoyed reading your blog, and wishes she were with you instead of here (not that she doesn't LOVE it here, but, you know!) We just got done with our oatmeal, and of course, it was delicious AND we started missing you even more! Viv is glad you are having a good time, and she's glad you're recovering from your horse-related injuries. She can't wait to see you in December.
Karen and Mel just walked in, and they want to be included in this:-) Karen says, "Hi, I miss you, too. I hope every thing is going wonderful. You're a little sweetie pie, and we'll see you around Christmas. Bye."
Mellie says, "Hello, and hope every thing is well, and I'm sending Miguel down there to see you! Take care!"
Me, you know I say way too much, so this time I'll keep it short and simple (in other words, I need to get back to the J-O-B). Have a great week, hope class goes well tomorrow!
Adios, mi pequeña caballero(a)! Cindy
PS Thanks for the email :)
Hail, Sara! Hola, caballero(a)!
Wow, I'm impressed! I guess I'm just an out-of-shape (wannabe) cowgirl, considering you've survived your spectacular day atop a horse with few complaints or injuries! I'd be whining about it for a week...! I'm SO glad you didn't get hit by lightning; that must have been quite terrifying while the storm raged around you and your group. It sounds as if you're having a wonderful time, and I'm glad your "home" is beginning to feel more like home. Do you speak Spanish at all times? I suppose that's the whole point in these 'immersion' programs. I'm looking forward to your next blog entry, and can't wait to see the photos that you'll be posting!
Good luck straightening out your class schedule, and have a great week.
Me and the Oatmeal miss you! Cindy
Hey sara! wow this trip sounds like one you will never forget! that storm sounds crazy, Im so glad you got out of it safely! i remember going horseback riding in costa rica and my host parents laughed that night because i had to sit on a pillow during dinner :) your host mom sounds so sweet. i hope you get to know the other family members better too. i think of you pretty much every day and wonder what you are up to and exactly how you are feeling. miss you and cant wait to read the next entry!
Hola! Hey there! Sounds like you are having a great time! Congrats on placing into the highest level of spanish! See...I knew you'd do great! I finally saw the Dark Knight this weekend--so good! Hope things keep going well for you! Love you!
Caballos y Sara! Hi Sara!
Girl, I miss you :( Your mom gave me an update on your first impressions with your living arrangement, and your Saturday excursion. ¿Cómo estaba tu paseo del lomo de caballo al volcán? (Did I get that right?) I have a feeling you don't want to look at, let alone ever ride, another horse! But don't worry, you'll feel better in about 4-5 days. The bruises on the inside of your legs from going back down the mountainside may take a bit longer to disappear! Ouch, I don't think I could have ridden on a trip like that without preparing with heavy-duty riding at least a month in advance. You might want to let this woman (in charge of the students?) know that it would be nice to perhaps inform future students that this is something they might want to prep for; the ride would be much more enjoyable for all involved then!
So, do they have oatmeal where you are staying? Every morning, as I'm making it, I think about you, and wish I had some way to send you some fresh cereal! But, since I can't, I'll do the next best thing...eat a bowl of it in your honor!
Hasta la vez próxima, adiós.
Miss you, Cindy
PS This blog is the best!
"The Hills are Alive....." Hey Sara!
Were you silently singing that song as you meandered around the mountains on your horse this weekend? I hope it was an interesting adventure. 6 hours riding, huh? Do they make gell seats for the saddles? :) I would guess that despite discovering muscles you didn't even know you had, the sights were well worth it. Lots of changes for you, like waiting until 3:00 for lunch. You'll be fine. Thanks for taking the time to journal and share your experiences. Love, thoughts, and prayers, Aunty Kris
love you Hey Sara:)
Thanks for the updates, I have given your sight to Cindy and Lori. I am glad to see things are a bit better. I cannot wait to hear about the horse back riding:) Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you...Be safe, Love you, Mom
I admire you for doing this. It would be very hard to go live in someone elses place. Do they always have students? Sounds like they are older people. The horse ride sounds great. I would do that but don't take too many bus rides. Walking is safer. Are there a lot of scooters (not your dog) there? We will be looking forward to getting pictures. I love these blogs things. Love Kas
thinking of you Hey Sara:)

I go thte lawn cut otnight, whew, tough this time. Work remains busy only 2 open beds.
