It may cheer you up to know the weather has just turned cold here; first snow on the desert road.
Gas milage doesn't look to be too bad - we got 377 km (234 miles) out of 44 liters last fill. I think this is about 20 miles/gallon (whatever that is) or 8.5 km/liter.
Only problem is petrol is £1.08 /l !!

so, like, we're in Tairua, soon to be Ashburton. Pepper less than impressed with being left at a kennel but hopefully the emptying of the freezer and resultant kilos of lamb meat will have made up for it somewhat.
Tha big drive south starts Friday.... two cats, one dog and a long road trip.
