I do agree with Castiglione's description of an ideal man. His idea of an ideal man was that they were straight forward, they were not only intelligeent but alos had the need to learn more and they were respectful to others. All of these characteristics are very important and a good characteristic to have. I am sure that there are ideal men out there in the world todaay, but I don't believe any celbrities or people we see on tv have all of these characteristics some don't even one of these characteristics. He believed men should live with these characteristics because if you have these charcacteristics you will not have problems with other people, and you are always looking to improve because of the love for knowledge. I thinkl it is better to live through love ... read more
There are many mountains we have climbed here at UICCP. A mountain for me that I had to climb was chemistry. By far chemistry was one of the hardest classes I had to take and it took alot of hard work and extra time to pass. In addition I am currently taking AP chemistry which is an even bigger mountain because of how difficult it is. The Mountain I will face my final semester is the AP exams I will take because these exams are rigorous and I feel like I must pass. I mountain I want to ccreate for myself is buying a house. It is very difficult to buy a house rather than rent so this will be a mountain in my life for many years, but it will be worth climbing.... read more
In the list of the 45 most powerful images of the year there were many images that reeeepresented important events in the world. The list included images that reflected the death of Osama Bin Laden and the death of Gadaffi; also in the list were many images of natural disasters. The 5 images I chose to write about were images 5, 18, 22, 44, and 45. I chose image #5 because it is an image that marked the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 and this image represents that we still honor those who died and that we still remember that day and are still healing from the attack. I chose image 18 an image of one of the natural disasters that occured this year. The picture shows a volcano in Chile erupt and lightning is attracted ... read more
I believe that the most heroic person In the top 10 CNN heroes Of 2011 is Sal Dimiceli. I believe he is the most heroic because he doesn't just help feed people but he also helps them get the bare necessities to survive. If I had the chance to nominate a hero I would choose Patricia Dandonoli, the founder of Water Aid America. Water Aid America helps transport water to the poorest communities in the country. Water helps people with hygiene and thirst. In history we do study heroes. Heroes are those who changed the world. We label whether a historic figure was a hero by the impact they have had on th world even today. I consider Sacraties, someone we studied before, a hero because of the impact he had on the way we view ... read more
1) Shoe gazing is anew way of taking pictures and seeing the world. Instead of taking pictures of famous monuments or different habitats, of which there are already many pictures of that, you take pictures of your feet while you stand in front of the monument or in that special habitat. 2) I personally have ever taken part in shoe gazing, but if I were to shoe gaze I would take a picture standing on a baseball field or a football field because of my passion for sports. 3) There are certain attributes that make a person beautiful by the norms. These norms are set by the media. You see in magazines people dressed a certain way and with a certain type of hairstyle or makeup and this is considered to be beauty and we as ... read more

The roman baths were a special place that started in the 2nd century BC. All the baths at the time were privately owned and only wealthy men were allowed in. The baths were mainly for people to discuss business and other important aspect and that's why women and the poor were not allowed in because they had no business being there. Later the baths became public by 33 BC there were 170 baths public and private in Rome. The baths became more of palace were people would go and talk. I think of it as the equivalent of today's Facebook. If you wanted to find something out you went to the baths. There were still special places where mencould go talk business in private within the baths, but the baths themselves were social hot spots. ... read more
