Your mystery fruit I am sure that you have found the name of your mystery fruit by now, but it is rautan. Known as chum-chum locally, our favorite too!
stylin..... that boat pilot in the Market Tour pic shows just where all the real stylin fashions have gone......they left the west and found a home in SE Asia.........plaids with stripes.........if they were bell bottoms it would be the total collection worn by one human being.........I'm headed for the Goodwill store tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
History What you didn't learn in school, some of us saw on the evening news. Almost everywhere we've gone in Asia there has been a place like that and the tour guide could usually tell you which of his relatives was last seen there. And, you have seen how hard it is for them to accept some nationalities even today. Even when their culture now actively teaches coexistance.
cool Hi Sarah and Patrick
I have enjoyed immensely your blog journal of your journey. so upbeat an adventure. I am envious. Thanks so much as it has kept me thinking of you.
your trip Oh WOW, Sarah. What incredible photos, which really do not do justice. You and Pat are on an adventure of a lifetime. I hope you got home safely. I can't wait to hear more. love, Aunt Carolyn
WOW Hope your last Saturday night in Asia was awesome. Will miss reading your adventures, but I'm thinking you will enjoy some cooler temperatures. - Love Mom

Sarah, watch out for the giant yellow duckies in silly hats! Patrick, watch out for some poorly cut blowfish! When you get back we will have to show you all the 'Boys of Holiday t-back swimsuit calendar'
looks fun Hi guys. Looks like a life changing trip. We will have to make the journey one day too. We are preparing for our little journey to Tampa in one week. Miss you and wish we could have joined you. Can’t wait to hear stories when you get back.
Update Went to Palm Harbor last week end. Chelsea no longer works at The Pig. The Ozona Seafood has closed. Everything changes.
Hey! I'm seeing long sleeves. Has it cooled off from 1000 degrees?
Dragon Did they let the dragon lady sit on the dragon throne? It would only seem right. Thanks for hanging in there and getting the pictures uploaded. - Love, Mom
WOW Hi Sarah and Patrick
You are having the time of your life!!!!!! Love the photos. In one you look like your grandma Eilers even!! When she was a young woman. Have a great time, can't wait to see more and hear more! Will post a note on your dads wall in facebook too. ;D God bless, stay safe love, Aunt Carolyn
Thank You WOW... what a great trip for you two. I am very jealous. I will make certain that Grandma and Jo see all of your emails when they come here tomorrow. Stay safe and have tons of fun. Love,
Richard
How's the beer there anyway?? God, I was just saying to Sunny the other day how I've just been craving molten lava octopus balls! I'm so jealous...
Good to hear you two are doing well! Sounds like you've seen some amazing things so far and can't wait to see the pictures!
Next two year old you run into should obviously be taught the Gator chomp. Tebow's done a nice job with that in the Phiillippenes...I figure China should have no problem following suit.
Take care you two!
Andy
Hi from Florida Hi Sarah and Patrick. I can't wait to see the photos!! Glad to hear you both are the hits over there. So sweet the two year old learning the high five!! Love reading your blog! Await update.
Take care. love, Aunt Carolyn
Great first day pics! I love it when the natives want to take photos of you - it is neat to have the tables turned like that! The palace is gorgeous and certainly a good start! Take care, love you Janet
