Glad to find you!! Right after sending email, your new blog came in and it sounds like you found the PERFECT place. It is beautiful! Glad to know all is well and you were away from the protest. Glad to see D loves swimming, hope she'll enjoy Grandma's pool soon. Love you!!
Thanks! Wish we had brought a Sponger's shirt, but maybe next time. Santorini is too far away for a day trip, so we opted for Aegina (the island closest to Athens). I'm getting ready to post those pictures/narrative now.
Go Spongers! Tarpon Springs HS could not be more proud. Way to go! Great pics and narrative. Fabulous that you got published. When do you do a day trip cruise? Santorini? Where? Fabulous to see Patrick in full character too.

Lovin' it Loving your blogs, I really look forward to seeing a new one. Everything looks beautiful and it looks like D is starting early as a world class traveler!
Water Hazard Yep, David backed into the water at a mall in the dead of winter before I could get to him.
I vote for the cute dancer in the pink hat...clearly the winner.
No way. I'm sure your daughter did no such thing. You must be thinking of your son :)
I forgot to mention that we also managed to leave our giant bag of toiletries in our rush to make the train....sunscreen, shampoo, baby wash, eczema lotion, ugh and double ugh.
Memories Know what you mean. My daughter decorated me once as we were going out the door to a wedding. Change of clothes for everyone involved. But, no train, plane or automobile to miss.
Glad you made it.
So hungry The food you describe is making me weep. Even the meat loaded sandwiches sound delish! Delaney sure is photogenic, and the locations aren't half bad either.
That looks stupid delicious Sounds incredible. If we ever get to Spain, I'm going to DEFINITELY try Quimet y Quiment. All of those tapas look and sound amazing.
Cal Pep Hey Dea,
We're hoping to hit Cal Pep for lunch today. There's a nice square out front for D to run around in. We did manage to hit Quimet y Quimet last night (NYTimes called it the best tapas in Barcelona but it's about the size of my kitchen). Amazing stuff.
We're hoping to hit Batllo today, but Palau Guell is opening today (it has always been being restored when we were here).
The last two days were pretty warm (85) but it has been in the mid 70's for the most part.
Have fun in Aruba!
Hi guys Hey Sarah and Pat,
Looks like you’re having fun! This is making me miss Barcelona. Go back to Cal Pep, the line moves remarkably fast. Also go to the Gaudi house Casa Batllo if you have time, it was my favorite Gaudi place (besides La Sagrada Familia). Is it hot there?

wondered I wondered if you were seeing any of the protests. It would be super interesting to see political demonstrations in a different language. I've only seen them in Ireland. So glad Delaney is handling the travel well. So what tattoos did you all get? ;)
Sausages? There seem to be some unspoken order to tapas. First, you get sardines and tomato/onion/olive plate. Still hungry? Sausages and bread for you! :)
We are celebrating our survival of the first year of parenthood by packing up the baby and heading to Europe for two months. We'd love to have you follow our new 'family travel' adventures! We'll be stopping in Barcelona, Minorca/Menorca, Brussels, Athens, and Rome.
