Oh No! I can't believe that anyone would break into a church! Geesh... I will be praying for all of you - and the perpetrators too... Maybe they will find something among the spoils to bring them to God themselves! Thank you for the prayers. I miss you all so much and look forward to seeing you in the spring sometime!
hello I have been looking for your new entry. It sounds like you guys are having the time of your lives. I always look forward to seeing what you are up to. I can tell you lost 10 pounds Marty. The pictures of your grandchildren are precious. I bet you do miss them. That would be the hard part for me. Did you hear that the church was broken into on Tuesday evening? I haven't heard how bad it was but it didn't sound good. Well, keep having a great time together. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. God bless! Love Leslie from bible study
good picture thank you for the good picture, that was so fun in Laughlin. Your other pictures are so cute and i sure can understand how much you miss them. I will let you know hopefully by the time you leave Parker if we can come.
By the way Marti you do look great and I love your hair.
oh, yeah! Hi, Guys,
We had plenty of rainy days in California while we were wintering there. And generally had one or two nights of freeing temps. The desert can be really cold! But, you are right. The sun will return and you will be sunning and reading and playing with the dog...and best of all having fun with "new" friends.
Good luck...and take it as it comes...it's all an adventure...Makes you really appreciate the good times.
Love, Joanne and Dick
Weather! Well, we are having one of those weird El Nino years. So all last week it was near 60 degrees, sunny, and nice. At least the dogs dried out enough to start some brushing! Oh man, Baxter LOVES to be brushed :-) He loves it so much that he makes Landis jealous so he will try to get between you and Bax and get more brushing, which is good, because he generally won't stand still and he's got the worst coat!
Baxter really seems to have settled in the last couple of months. Like now he knows he lives here, and we are his people. Before that, he was more aloof. He's very serious about his job too! He's got a great work ethic!
Glad you guys are having a good time! If you get back up here, you must come visit!

Allie looks just about as big as the Donkey's HUH? Thanks for the update and so sorry that bob still is under the weather. got some more sad news about Don as the MRI he had showed that he has two bulging disc's that they think Don has to have surgery on that before he can have the reverse but now we have to wait until we see the Dr. at USC and he will decide what to do.

Ouch! Boy, or boy...that cut on your hand doesn't sound like any fun at all! So glad you didn't need stitches. A gal friend at church slit open the palm of her hand just before Christmas on a really sharp knife...took 7 stitches to close it up!
I hope you continue to enjoy your time in AZ! Sounds incredibly peaceful and relaxing!
Pam
70 degrees! I envy you the warmer, drier temps. It's pretty soggy and chilly here in WA. It sounds like you are having a blast. I look forward to following in your footsteps once my hubby retires. Take care. Keep the correspondence coming.
Fun Fun Thank you so the update on your trip.Yes, we know all all the La Paz County park as we have stayed there with Otto ourselves and it is such a great park and so friendly. You can go so many places from there also. So glad that your animals are getting along with everyone. What's not to love about them HUH?
When I hear from Otto if I do I'll email you then.
Happy Christmas! Finally had a chance to catch up on all your travel entries! Sounds great! I can only echo Chris's sentiments when he said "you're in Vallejo?" Even when we left California (not too far from Vallejo) in 2002, Vallejo was NOT the best place to live...so I only can imagine how it has changed in the last 7+ years! Glad you made it out ALIVE!
Hope your stay in Bakersfield is warmer and more enjoyable. One week of my vacation already is gone...yikes! Hopefully this next week will move just a bit slower?!
Take care and thanks for keeping us updated!!
Pam
Garmin Listen carefully when she recalculates, she may be more annoyed than you think. You will figure it out when she will inevitably send you on a route that may not be the best for you rig. I signed up.
Bahahahahahaha you are actually staying there until Thursday??! It is sad to say you aren't going out after dark. How fun to see different things you are not used to!
I would be packin' a weapon in CA too Rich and I were in Mazatlan, Mexico for a week last month. We didn't see any drug activity or violence there. We did walk a mile along the beach but on a sidewalk at night and didn't have any problems. But we sure wouldn't be doing that along any US border towns. Being a Corrections Officer makes me a lot more aware of my surroundings than I already was. Inmates are very inventive! And yes, I do love my job!
You two take care on your travels and Merry Christmas!!!
This is our second year of living in our fifth wheel. We have really enjoyed all of our adventures so far and hope that you have enjoyed them too! We are back in Arizona and are making our way back to WA slowly. We are hoping to get some more hiking and exploring in before we get back. We'll be putting up a shop this year to get everything out of storage. That should be an adventure in itself! Thanks for being a part of our lives!... full info
