The City
Ah Amsterdam...where to begin. I guess after returning from a week in Amsterdam my synopsis is as follows: incredibly clean, organic, open-minded, friendly, free & funky, bikes and more bikes, great food, heavy tourism in pockets - empty in others, and FREAKING expensive. Getting AroundGetting around Amsterdam is easy, as long as you rent a bike. I would advise not seeing Amsterdam on foot for it would take you a while and you would be pretty exhausted. Not to mention that all of Amsterdam is on bicycles...so when in Rome...We rented bikes from Bike City , a great little local place that doesn't have a huge embarrassing sign on the side of your bike that reads RENTAL. Statue
Prague is amazing and hence I know I am now forever spoiled from enjoying other European cities, architecturally speaking...I think. I will break this down as simply as possible for a quick read of important Prague categories and experiences. ArchitectureAt every turn, every inch of this city is so different than what I am use to in the States. Even down to a simple veterinary sign. If you like visual detail, the Czech Republic has it down pat. Prague is definitely the place to be if you love to shoot anything. Anything from castles to Gothic structures to beautiful old cemeteries in the Jewish quarter, everything is simply breathtaking.
