The Burning Ghats Michael Wood has video footage of the burning ghats in his documentary "The Story of India". How did he get around the no camera rule? I asked him personally on Facebook but have not received any reply.

My Eye opener jaisalmer trip I had been to Jaisalmer just a fortnight back and the experience was unforgettable. I stayed at Hotel Jaisalgarh, I conclude as one of the best places to stay. With very well mannered staff we had no problem anywhere. They arranged everything for us right from a guide for sight seeing all attractions to camel safari and then music performance by local lore. There was also a kind of bazaar organized by hotel authorities where we bought many souvenirs at reasonable prices.
Thank you Your pictures are cool, brother. I loved the ones of Ajanta the best, particularly the greenish one in ISO mode. They have been in my fantasy for a while. You have good hands at the camera. Keep it up.
chancey Do not make fun of the guys at the border doing their job properly. It is not many people they make happy, but I glad the somebody is trying to stop the drugs crossing the border.
great I am argentinian and a big boca juniors fan, I hope you had had a great time in buenos aires. My university is 4 blocks away from the hostel you've been! Your point of view of our life is really interesting, because you remark things that are completely normal for us and we don´t notice! Come vist us again!

ups!! Ups! I click enter before finishing my comments!!!
Well, this is the first time that I read your blog and I found it really interesting.
After I read it and saw the pictures I realized that sometimes people worry about their problems thinking that they are really big ones, but when you see this way of living, you realized that you must say thanks God! for your life.
Good luck!

Hotel City Palace Nice blog and pics, i was in Jaisalmer a few months ago and i stayed at the hotel with a pool, which i reckon is probably the same one as you, the hotel city palace. Total rip-off on the camel safari, and a very shifty looking owner... but i enjoyed the pool to much, so we stayed.
I also took a photo of that sign onthe train - harrassment includes the singing of songs - classic!
Namaste !!!! Hangin out in Pushka hey!,dont blame you i fell in love with that place.Have you eaten in the om Shiva restaraunt yet?...damn fine all you can eat buffet (thats if its still there,it was 10 years ago i was there)So glad to see that you made it to Hampi, what a flash back looking at those photo's!!Now you can understand how i used 13 roles of film in India!! I love all the jargon about all the places and caves....straight out of the guide book hey?!?!?... I was told that Hampi was formed by Shiva when one day he wasnt smoking pot in the himalaya,he decided to take part of northern India down to southern India and the boulders around are said to be what fell out of hands on the way down...i like that story.
Travelling around India certainly makes you apreciate just how lucky you are!!!

oh and the caves are also breath taking- I saw some cool ones in Greece - but photo's never do justice in comparison to the natural eye - its just never captures the depth and proportion.
