We have left Edmonton! We have arrived! And somehow, we have landed in a world of post-cruising Baja sailors who have washed up on the shores of Puerto Escondido... I have lived on a boat enough to feel at home on the docks. I grew up on the pacific coast of Canada, where half the cruisers are headed somewhere fantastic and just arrived through some sort of crazy weather in time for beer. I´m sure you know it, too, even if only from stereotypes. It´s easy to picture those tanned, rugged couples on the docks, sometimes with little brown skinned, white-haired homeschooled children. The question is...where do they go? Many seem to have sailed the oceans and then slowly drifted northward, washing ashore in sandy coves along the inner coast of the Baja. Huancalito.
