Portland Trip Hi Raelan :)
I'm heading to Portland on Thursday, August 4th and will return on Sunday, August 7th! Just a long weekend to eat some delicious vegan food, check out the town & hopefully meet some more amazing people! I just purchased a brand new Jeep too! It's so much fun - the entire roof opens up ... perfect for summer & the 4 wheel drive will be golden come winter! I tried to post a pic from my phone, but I'm technically challenged at times :)

Sweet, Awesome Amber :) You have no idea how much I appreciate your wonderful and supportive comments. And I miss you! It's so great having this adventure, but it is also really great to be able to communicate from people back home. You might just be the kindest and most good-hearted person I know. Your loving energy is a gift to this world- we are so much better off with you in it! I really hope that you and your beautiful family are doing great. Goodness- has the wedding happened already?? Thanks Juliette! Being a solo female traveller, so far I feel that I am in the minority. It takes some courage to do it alone as a female and being willing to accept occasional loneliness for sure. You're Wonderful Dad :) Thanks for that, and for the never ending support. And I'm so glad that you are enjoying reading about my experiences and feel somewhat connected to my journey. I think of you often and hope that you can feel a part of this in some small way. I'm having the time of my life and am the happiest I've been in so very long. I experience moments of bliss daily. I know this trip causes you some anxiety as a parent (understandably) but hopefully knowing how much happiness this is bringing me will help to bring you some peace.

Hosteling in Portland Hi Raelan :) I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate this blog page! I'm going to be in Portland, Oregon from August 4 - August 7. Just a short mini vacation. I'm mainly going to EAT @ all of the delicious vegan restaurants out there and hopefully meet some more inspiring people like yourself! The adventure continues! After 9 months spent roaming around solo in South East Asia and Australia and a two month travel sabbatical back home in Canada, I now find myself hitting the backpacking trails once again. This time around, however I'm travelling along side the incredibly wonderful new soul in my life named Jay. Jay and I are starting our adventure together in India before heading back to SE Asia to explore some of my old favourites as well as some of the areas that I didn't get a chance to see the first time around.
