Cuba Libre Thank you for writing about your experience in Cuba it is a great entry. I have always believe capitalism benefit only those who can affort it. Therefore I would alway thought the Cuban way is the best way and blame the Cubans economy to the USA BLOCK to the Island. I would really need to be there and live there to understand what is going on. Again thanks for sharing your experience and where is the road taking you next? Be safe and good luck to you. Adios
Cuba Sorry I forgot to mention I am Ben on my previous comment. I will suscribe to your blog so I can read your entries however Cuba will appear under the Central America and Caribe tab. Sorry to hear your relationship with Jose didn work out. I cant wait to hear about your adventures in Cuba, Have a mojito for me :) Adios
Hey there! Glad that you haven-t lost track! You can simply suscribe to my blog if you want, that would make it easier to follow me on my travels! I have already left Mexico, and am now in Cuba, but only for a few more days... I've suscribed to your blog, I'll be able to learn lots about the US and hopefully improve my Spanish at the same time!!!
Mexico Because I normally read only the entries under de Central American tab I was unaware you already had a new entry about your experience in Mexico. Good thing I did a search for your user name so I could find out what is going on with ya. I just started a blog here too so I will send you the link in case you are curious about my writing. Have a wonderful time in Mexico.
Allez, t'as vraiment eu peur du piment ?
Thanks for your nice comments... Chicken buses are indeed quite uncomfortable for anyone who's over 5ft2, and must be a nightmare for anyone who measures 5ft7 and above!!! But they still rock!
I hope that everything's going well for you both in London, even though I guess there must be a certain 'being home blues' going on... Chin up, each day that goes by is a day closer to your next fab trip´!
Really missing this! Reading this in London makes me wish I was back in Central America. It all seems so long ago now! Great description of the chicken buses, you almost make me miss them (I'm quite tall so they were always an uncomfortable though memorable experience).
Magnifiques photos de vestiges... On voyage grâce à elles.
Bisous!
... me !!!! Encore moi, quelle surprise !!! lol Ces petites victoires me font grandement plaisir tu sais.
And the winner is... Bravo Catherine,
And the winner is ?????
Alors ? J'ai encore gagné ? lol
Hey Ben! You should really go to Belize, it's a fantastic country, I absolutely loved it!
There are lots of pictures of my hair on this blog! I think I've put put more pictures of myself on this one blog than I have in all the others put together!
I am indeed in Mexico at the moment, until the 15th... And so far, I'm very very cold!!!!
I do Belize! bon fotos. I have never been in Belize :( You need to add another picture of your hair done the belizean way. What is next though? are you going up to Mexico? please keep writing. A revoir :)
:-D De rien, tu as gagne, c'etait normal!
Thanks! Hi Barry,
Thanks for your comment, and I agree with you, there is something about Guatemalan calculators! I always recounted everything before paying, so at least I suppose it's been good for my maths!!!
I hope it doesn't feel too weird being back at home!
Thanks again! Hi Ben,
Thanks for your comments, they're always appreciated! It did take me a while to write this blog indeed, I didn't find any internet cafes for a few days, then when I did I was just too busy to write! I did bargain a lot while in Guatemala, especially on the markets, but with transport, there was just no way... When I tried to stand my ground and refused to pay what the boat captain was asking of me in Lago Atitlan, he just said 'OK, stay here then', and given that a boat was the only way to get back to Panajachel, I didn't have a choice!! At least I tried!
Hope everything's good for you.

I'm done dreaming my night, welcome to my day time dream!
