Cornflakes in Bhuj? Expecting Cornflakes in Bhuj is asking for too much dont you think?
Would you get chapatis in a small remote village / town in America?
Didn't you know English is not the native language of Indians? What do you expect, everybody to greet you in fluent English?
Get real man and better still stay in your home country. We don't want cribbers like you in our country.
Welcome backand thanks for the free trip back to India! Dearest Pete, Thanks so much for the fantastic blogs that bought India alive in our home for all to read, and for me a time of reflection of my Indian journey in 1982.....and I feel so young. What a fantastic experience riding your bike there yet again....seeing, feeling, smelling and knowing India in such a sensory way............thanks so much for sharing your enegy, insights and fantastic photos with us..... Kate and I are in Adelaide week before Christmas so hope to catch up with you both. I'm off to light my incense...........and dream............Lots of love Sarah and Co.
Home Safe Good to have you home.It is very rewarding to be able to follow your travels and try to understand the difficult parts as well as enjoy the precious moments. The childrens faces are treasures in themselves.
In reading "Holy Cow" at the moment, it's one of those subjects that the more you know , the less you know. Thankyou for the blog. James

What luxury! Hi Pete, So glad you decided to have a night in the palace. Well worth it. I have a case of the green-eyed-monster. Did the "boy" bring the Limca? Some sad news this end. Wayne died a couple of weeks ago. Jane had a beautiful gathering at her place. Harry the dog had his say as Bella did for John. It was even acknowledged that Bella had created a precedent. My cousin Heather's husband died suddenly last week too, so we have had Jane and John staying, with Simon making a mercy dash from the States. All very upsetting. Boys well. Tim has had huge model to make for Uni which has taken all holidays and much of my time too. Parents should be given marks as well. Jed is embarking on an expensive but good programming course thru SEEK which should open up his employment options. He and Bec are off to Melbournr for a few days. We are off to Naracoorte for a picnic in the scrub for Rob Gun's 60th. Old times eh? Keep safe and happy pedalling luv Annie
Juna Mahal Man, That palace looks amazing. Now thats what I call touring India.
I will add it to my list. Not happy about the dead animals on the walls; that may have turned me off the cauliflower soup. Great photos. LOL JAMES
WOW Hi there Peter, wow, I am really enjoying your blog, you are doing an amazing job and obviously enjoying your trip. Thank you for sharing with me/us..
Take care. J
Hi Oceana & Community Dev Team Thanks for following the travels. What you are getting is a bit of a while ago of course. I've been up to Southern Rajasthan and spent about 5 days in Udaipur which Brian knows well. My next blog will send you all green with envy. I had a wonderful time staying in a palace in Dungapur. Very civilised!
I'm currently on my way to the tribal villages near Bhuj in the far west of India near the Pakistan border in Gujuarat.
I'm glad that the volunteers are doing their bit while I am away. It's wonderful isn't it?
I haven't been doing much cycling I gotta tell you!
Cheers Pete
we miss you Dearest Peter,
I hope your well sounds like your having one of them adventures again.....all i can say you better be taking lots of photos buddy.
Life is moving with the ebbs and flows in the Peachey .....with plenty of excitement. Your volunteers are roaming the streets and fighting grafitti and taking great pride.
All is well here in the POC world of ours.
Have fun dear one
See you soon

Nearly holidays! Yahoo! Hi Peter,
Love reading about your travels! Two days until I start holidays! I have had a great term with a lovely group of children but I am really tired and am looking forward to relaxing for a while. I am going to Kingscliff for the second week of the holidays (near Byron Bay) so hopefully will get some good weather!! Rog comes home tomorrow from Hobart. He sets sail on the 12th. October. This time for almost 7 months! Girl power could almost be out of control by the time he gets home!
Stay safe,
love Kath x
Sorry you couldn't get through I don't know if it was the site or what. I usually copy things off (using Conytrol C to put onto the pasteboard). Otherwise you could send it to our normal Email address which I check. Try again if you feel so inclined. Thanks for trying.

Beautiful cottage Hi Peter,
The cottage you stayed in looks just great! You certainly are lashing out price wise!! james and I did the walk from Waterfall Gully up to Mt. Lofty yesterday. It was a really nice walk but we certainly didn't see any sites like you are getting to see! Love the photos,
Cheers Kath x
Beer O' Clock I see! Hi Peter, good to see some things haven't changed, I noticed the beer on the table at your cottage. Beautiful setting, I think I could move in. I love all your photos and can't wait to see more of them on your return.
Take care Gill
Travel plans Hi there Peter,
Great to hear of your adventures! The pictures are just great. I have been to another agent re a trip for me at Christmas time. She has been incredibly helpful. Now I am looking at trekking in Nepal. We'll see what transpires! I had better get walking and back to the gym now and then. Bet you were cheesed about your bike! I am glad someone could partly fix it for you and that you can at least ride it!
Take care and please stay away from the Military!
Cheers Kath x
Those pesky elephants I like the idea of a studded door. You never know when an elephant might charge.Dwain(the goldfish), is ready to get the kero out for the next part of his new act for next years royal show. If the canon girl got the gig,Dwain thinks he is on a winner with " The Ring of Fire"
Man,don't challenge the authorities-they have guns, and I would like to see you home at some time. Your` trying to relax`partner James..
Hi to the Medwins down under, down under I'm glad you are enjoying it. It's certainly different with internet than when you are I were away in the 70s. I hear Rajasthan is getting pretty touristy which is hard imagine. I've only seen a handful of tourists so far. Gujurat is not visited by tourists much.

Amazing Pete it makes Singapore and Phuket seem like such a doddle!!
You must have the constitution of an ox...a huge benefit in India of course. Will cycles to Melbourne soon...even that seems relatively trivial.
Take care.
Smell scratchies Thanks Janet. It would be good if you could bring back smell scratchies for all your friends and could choose which ones for who you liked or those you didn't! My nose has been working overtime and at times just has a rest I think.
Love to all there
