Brisbane is a great city with a fantastic climate, although the locals will say there’s not enough rain as they are currently suffering a severe drought. The centre is easy to walk and if you get tired you can always catch a river ferry or cat to save your legs. Our favourite part was SouthBank where you can relax in the sun on a man made beach area, swim in the pool, spark up a BBQ on Picnic Island or just chill out in one of the many great cafes or bars. We enjoyed a great Shiraz we’d picked up in the Hunter Valley a few weeks earlier and just watched the world go by.
