trek hi, if u have enough time in your hands, you can trek to "Kalavarahalli"- some 70 km (real good roads once u leave the city). Its a hill, 2 hour trek to the peak. U can hire some motorbikes. Start by 15.00 hours. Carry food, water, tents, mosquito-repellamt creams (odomos is a famous brand) and a tent.. U can spend the night on the peak. the sight of the city in the night from there is awesome. Its kinda cold there. So, carry blankets.. We visited the place last week. Was AWESOME experience.. We had a bonfire and had some sort of a barbeque.. If you need any tips, mail at arjunsivadashere@yahoo.co.in It will be an unforgettable experience..
Art of taking rickshaw rides I am an Indian. I am new to Bangalore, am from a different state - Kerala, further South.. Bangalore traffic is awful.
The key to taking an autorickshaw ride is to fix the rate before you even touch the vehicle. (they could charge u even for that) Once u have the rate fixed, dont give a penny more. I often see foreigners being plundered by rickshaw drivers. Its sad we cnt help. U can also ask a trafiic policeman (if u have one in sight) to get u a rickshaw at a fixed rate..
hahahaha I LOVE THIS BLOG. BIG Props to the two Ems and Jelana for keeping the reading public so deliciously entertained! And best of luck to Jelana in her saga with the multiplying Indian men:).
