Thank you so much for taking me along on your travels through the wonderful blogs. It is so exciting to sign in each day to see "what & where". I admire you so much for not only the courage to venture out to worlds unknown but to have the heart of a person that respects and appreciates the people of each culture. You are truly a good example for any who have the desire to explore the world to follow. Now, move over Anthony Bourdain, my Bubba is on the move!! I love you little brother!! PS: after you see the world, don't forget I want you to come grow old with me eating hot water cornbread and chicken & dumplins!!!!
Wow. Very well written, and I agree 100%! Hi there,
I love coming on this blog and reading about people's adventures in Thailand prior to my own coming up this January. I could not agree more on your 12 points. After having toured the world with Cirque du Soleil, and working on the world's largest cruise ship, competing in countries around the globe, I have learned the same things. I think the one I agree with the most is about the language! Learn a little bit, a TINY bit, any willingness to do so shows respect of the culture. And you almost always will learn how to swear first! I can't now say vulgar phrases in about 15 different languages! Anyways, thanks for the good read this morning!
Beach time I am thrilled you met some nice people and enjoyed friendship with them. Sounded like a fun place to be. Hopefully, you will meet with some of them again one day.
From your one Follower... and hope you get a few more. You fit right in with Travelblog as none of us take blogging so seriously that we have to be something other than ourselves. Most of us start blogging for ourselves, family, or friends, then realize that we are connected to a much larger audience. Don't let that affect you other than encouraging you to keep writing about your travels. Glad to hear you stood next to my radar station!
Thanks for the memories... I surveyed the top of Doi Inthanon for the radar station in 1968 and then returned after college to build the road to the top of the mountain and the radar station in 1974-75. My wife and I lived in Chiang Mai and just loved the place. I took my three children there in May 2007, and they were amazed. I also took my son to Krabi and Railey Beach in 2009 in conjunction with a trip to China and Vietnam. I blogged about these experiences in case you are interested. Continue enjoying Thailand!
I stood right next to the Radar Station and its a very beautiful spot. I love this part of Thailand for sure. I will check your blog out. Thanks for commenting
You win!!!! I\'m sooooo jealous!!!!! It\'s 41 degrees here and I have to work tomorrow. Have a great vacation and continued good luck with your travels.
Love,
Theresa
Single RN, traveling the world one vacation at a time, searching for my Shangri-La. I have found that my passion is exploring a countries culture, food, history and way of life. As I travel I am always looking for that one special place to call home once I retire!
I have fallen in love with Asia, from the moment I first step foot in Thailand in 2008. The sights, sounds, smells, its like a sensory overload no matter where you go. Having already been to Thailand a couple of times, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, its my goal to travel the back roads all over the rest of Asia. ... full info
