6 feet tall, pale, redhead, Irishman? That's how he described you??? Hmm, do you stand out a little, Nate? So, maybe you're not getting to speak Spanish so much, but I hope at least you're perfecting your British accent. I'm sure Scott will be insanely jealous to hear you're hanging out with a group of British rockers. They're not screamers are they?
We rented a boat on the lake today and had a great time. Super hot day and the lake felt so good. We pulled each other around on the tube and rented a wake board for Scott. He's actually pretty good on it, but he got mad at dad for not doing it exactly right! Lauren and Alison were with us and Scott Mason came along too. I think today we're going to see Toy Story 3.
How far have you traveled from Barcelona, Nate? How many couchsurfing hosts have you found as opposed to hostels? It seems like you've found some really awesome places and met fun people. I hope you're having a blast. We miss you like crazy here.

Nate, I love the picture of you jumping into the lake, that looks like so much fun. What great hosts you had! I do hope you closed your eyes when Encarna was topless, though. How expensive are the hostels? I hope you find another great place to stay. Keep up the blog posts, I love hearing about what you're doing.

Nate, it sounds like you're having an awesome time. I'm glad you've found some people to hang out with and to take you around and show you stuff. You've found some great hosts! The dinner sounds really interesting and from what you ate, it's hard to believe you're the same boy who would eat nothing but french fries and breakfast cereal! How brave to ask him to order for you; I could NEVER do that! Is your 5 hour train ride overnight or during the day? I'm glad you have another host there. The pictures are really nice and I like your descriptions of everything. Now that you've done that kiss on both sides of the face thing, you could appear on the Real Housewives of NYC, which I'm sure is a goal of yours! You've been there over a week already and so far your trip sounds exactly the way I had imagined it would be. I'm glad you're having fun. Not too much going on here. Alison's been home since Friday, but is leaving this afternoon. She has to be out of her house in 2 weeks and it looks like she'll move her stuff here for a little while as she's trying to find a place in Atlanta. Scott's been picking up some motorcycles for dad; one in Pensacola last week and yesterday he picked one up in Athens for Grandpa Ken. I think next week he's going to meet Gpa Ken in Kentucky or somewhere to give him his bike and to get one that Gpa has for dad. Abby has been taking some swim lessons with Katie Mara and she's swimming all over the deep end. We've been to the pool nearly every day, there are tons of kids there again and she's having a blast. Lauren arrives on Sunday. On Monday she, Scott and I are leaving for a hike from Amicalola falls to the Len Foote lodge which is a 5 mile hike to the lodge, spend the night and hike back out on Tuesday. We're going with the Venturing Crew and believe it or not, I am the adult registered leader and the adult listed on the tour permit!! Who would have thought that could happen? Saturday we're going boating with Mr. Eddie, Miss Susie and Rachel at Lake Allatoona. We miss you!! Keep up the blogging.

friends in spain Hey Nate! your post came in right when Doug's post came and you are both in Barcelona. Try to connect if you can and, well you will be in contact of a very good world traveler.
Hope you're having a memorable experience!
Kim
¡Felicitaciones! Querido Nate,
Qué alegría me da que estés disfrutando en el bello pais de España. Me encantó leer sobre tus paseos, y todos estos museos...increíble. Esta será una experiencia inolvidable. Estaré leyendo tu blog. Cuídate y hasta pronto.
"Sra. Diaz" :-)
Thanks for the great updates and the pictures, too. I'm feeling a little jealous, you're having such a fun adventure. I really like your descriptions of things you're seeing, and the food too. You probably need to eat some weird seafood while you're near the coast, although I guess you can get that anywhere in Spain.
We're leaving Tuesday for our bike trip, won't get home till July 5, so I'll look forward to catching up with all you're doing when we get back. Love you - keep having fun and stay safe. Gram
Happy birthday! Well, your first few days have been a good variety of fatigue, fun, frustration, funky stuff, festivities, and interesting food. Happy 21st birthday!
oh my I LOVE THIS ONE! did you take it with a timer or did you ask some poor spaniard to take it for you and perpetuate the "fat (not really) lazy american" stereotype?
HaPPY bIrTHDaY How nice that you had someone to celebrate your birthday with, Nate! That makes me happy. I'm glad you found a place to stay, it sounds like the perfect place for you! Good call not taking a picture of the naked guitar playing guy, although Abby would have loved it! You'll have to tell her about it. She asked me yesterday if she could call you. I'm glad your having fun and exploring everything, be sure to get up by 10, Natey or I'll have to sing the "lazy bones" song. I love you, Nate and I'm sad I don't get to spend your 21st birthday with you. Have a fabulous day!!
Excellent Trekking Ulrich Hi Nate, Thanks for the update. Keep the info flowing and the pictures also. Happy Birthday and what you might need is a small motorbike for riding around. Can I come over and bring my GT750? Keep it safe andwe all love you. Regards, Baddaddy
