Enlightenment I'm moved by your stories of the wind chimes. It sounds so powerful to be alone with your thoughts in meditation. Also, how do maggots taste? ewwww :) (like how i switched moods from inspired to grossed out just like that?)
Be free, spirit.
FUN, FUN, FUN I am sorry but the tire story is def. funny............... it reminds me when lali and i stocked on our way out from the grand canyon, the battery died, it was so dark, and NO car would stop for us, we had to stand in the middle of the road to make the car stop................... not funny when it happened, but looking back at it, its pretty funny.
Mooi avontuur!

Hey Nik

Your Big heart Hi Nikki,
I love the story about the kid and the mom. My favorite stories were also when I was able to connect to the locals after I spending a lot of time trying to break through the barrier where they are just trying to take your money.
I remember making it a point to reject buying things from parents who throw their kids in your face (there was this one kid in Thailand who would run around holding my hands and fake-crying while his parents watched behind us). But afterwards I would feel bad, and find another local, one that wasn't trying to sell me anything, and make a donation or buy something. And on those special occasions, they'd invite me to their house and I could be their guests and it was really really a great experience! You think 4$ is cheap for a room, you should try being hosted, for free and you get food and to hang out with the family hehe. Of course in the end, I was so appreciative, I'd make a donation larger than 4$ so nevermind.

That was kool! This was really interesting and funny.
Why did you go to smokey mountain though, for a holiday!
Thanks tons, you really inspired me,
Lily
co0o0ol yooooooo....... glad to hear that your ear is doing better, and I hope you have fun at WEAVE...... look forward to hear about your weekend trip to Pai.
another 180 degree change wo0o0o0w, you are so into the 180 turn around, last week having a great time, swimming and diving, and BOOM, you go to the hospital and you were in pain........... but, i am glad to hear you are feeling better, and i am really sorry to hear that you had to go through all that, but its another interesting adventure you experienced........
OH, what happen to quote of the week......... :(
Feel better! Aww nikki, I hope you are doing okay now. I got my Advanced Water Diver certification the last trip I went and I know what its like to do a deep dive for the first time. What optional dives did you take (night, wreck, etc.)? Your trip sounds really amazing and the best part of this update was it really exposed how un-third world, third world hospitals are. I tell people all the time its not so bad there but they get freaked out thinking if you get a cut there, you will die cuz of bad health care. One love, -Aaron
hmm .. so I really did have to jump in my intercontinental Jetta and come rescue you. How are you feeling now? Pictures of the hospital would have been awesome.. maybe once you regain your balance you can go back and to a post-disease report
