You are beautiful! Vanessa, the pictures are incredible! Thanks for sharing them with us. It looks so warm and inviting. Thanks for the vicarious thrill. God has blessed you and she/he has obviously blessed the spaniards and their beautiful environment. Take many deep breaths of the mountaineous air; it will help to clear up your pounding head. Smile often and show the Spanish people the beautiful and caring person we all know you are. I love you, Dad
SO pretty Your Pictures are gorgeous! I love them. The sky is so blue and I cannot believe how clear and wonderful the air looks. I want to be there. I was wearing two sweatshirts, a scarf, mittens and my coat today!
Classes kicked off this week. I keep hoping I will see you riding by on your bike with your pink coat, but then I remeber you are away and it makes me a little sad, but them I see how much fun you are having so I forgive you for not being here. Classes are going pretty well, but they just started so we shall see.
Too bad about the smoking. I know that was something I had a hard time getting used to in Germany. I could see you with a well trained puppy!
Miss you Nessa!
Love,
Livy
the view is beautiful here too Dear young lady, from the family deck I look below and as the snow melts I witness the beauty of Mile's (our dog's) winter adventures in the backyard. It is breathtaking! Was your view of the mountains as wonderful as that? I think not....
Seriously, your description of the mountain view, your time with your girl friends, the fresh air and your fitness exhaustion sound marvelous... Enjoy every moment. Remember to save alittle to share with your good ole dad. Hey, if we don't find a hostal we can afford and is available pretty soon, your loved ones may be sleeping on that mountain side.
God bless you and your friends as you travel to Portugal. Take an extra deep breath of fresh air for me. Love you always, DAD
I miss you First to note is my new e-mail address (above) since I don't want to miss out on any of your adventure! Second to note is: why would we bore you with our lives when your living it up for all of us :) I'm so proud and jealous at the same time. What you've experienced in the last month is more than some of us have experienced in our entire lives. So live it up, and keep us updated!!
Auntie Debbie says HI! I'm sure your keeping busy with school and the night life! Well I'm thinking of wearing shorts today as it is a balmy 17 above. WOW! Hoping all is going well for you Vanessa and your classes aren't to difficult.Stay Safe and enjoy every moment as we all know how quickly time goes by.LOVE to you always.....< Auntie Debbie
"I will definitely try to take some pics of my escuela, but I don't wanna look like a tourist, so I might wait until it's not as busy there.... like on the weekend or something. :) "
because taking pictures of your school on the weekend isnt touristy [or nerdy] at all nessa....
haha
<3 u poopsie
Museums........ I'm wondering which of these famous museums that you may have toured is the best? "Costa Breve", "Fellini" or "Otto Zute", I hear that the patxanga is Mad in Ibiza...................
Hope you're having a great time.................study hard!!
Loving All Your News One of the things I love about you Vanessa is your attention to detail! I feel like I'm there and really appreciate all the differences you're seeing in the lifestyle. Diversity rocks!!! (Really sounding my age with that one...) I echo your mom ... remember your mace! And stay away from puking Americans. You'll learn less from them than from the local people. Experience everything you can. Can't wait to hear about your other travels. Study hard ... not just the books, but how others live! Love you! Barb

help!!! Vanessa, I am delighted you are having a wonderful time. Don't worry about me, I'll make it some how in your absence. Good news, I landed another part-time job to add to my full-time job. How much money did you need me to send you for your next shopping trip? I sold my vehicle and jewelry and I'm down to just eating one meal a day right after I get my nearly3 hours of sleep per night. I think I am feeling really rested. Hey, I'm not complaining, I'm happy somebody like you is having so much fun. Should I send you another credit card? Have you reached the maximum on the other two I sent you? Got to go your kitty just puked on my bedding. Thank the lord I can sleep sitting up now.
I do love you young lady. I am so proud of you. DAD
NESSA! I am soo glad to hear that you are LOVING it! I am sure going to miss you this semester! :( But live it up for both of us, okay?! I love you and be SAFE!
Hello from the frozen tundras wife Hi Vanessa! Your blog is great!! I love hearing all about your life over there so far. It sounds like your doing great and loving the country. Let us know if you need anything. I would send my almond cake but do you think it would make it OK? Take care of yourself honey. We love you very much!! < Aunt Debbie
love it! i love reading these. it is so fun and i am glad that you are finding time to write them. you should have your mom print them. or i would be willing to too! it sounds like you are absorbing everything so soon! you HAVE to go to La Alhambra in Granada. Its beautiful. And if you can get up on top of the city (weird location and no idea what it is called) you have an awesome view. just a tip. and club diez is a nice club in granada if you want to go out.
Barce is a great city isn't it? Can I just say that I am so jealous of your adventures to come. Make sure you spend some good time in Madrid if you get a chance. Check out el Escorial and segovia if you get a chance. As for shopping which I know you like to to ;) Check out Zara and Sfera. Classy stuff that isn't too expensive. Hope all is well!
Hello From the Frozen Tundra Hey Ness, You're blog is really cool. What a great way to share your experience with the family. Sounds like a great trip so far, the explanation of the nightlife makes me feel old...I'll have to shoe Debbie how to manuver this site so she can keep tabs on you.(2xJJ) haha Take Care Lv UM
sounds great! First... I love your mom's comment. "Don't forget the mase"! and it sounds great. You are going to have a fantastic time. your apartment looks so nice and you seem to be moved in! I totally know how you feel about the food. bland and boring but you will get used to it! how is your wardrobe treating you? did you pack right? how are your roommates?
missing you! I am so excited for you. I enjoying getting your blog. It makes me feel like I am there with you. My cousin said the same thing about confusing English and Spanish all the time. I have heard the first 3-6 weeks are the toughest and then the language should come easier. Good luck my love, keep me posted. Missing you in Wisconsin!
Vanessa, it all sounds so exciting! I just love the blue wall in your bedroom. It reminds me of how I noticed how people from Spain dress and decorate with so much more color than we do. I love that. I bet its fun to see the way people dress to go out. Oh and the hair? Hows the hair in Spain?? I can't wait to see your new stuff you find there when you get back...... but don't think about getting "back" just yet! Embrace it! xo
WOW! Hi Ness, Thanks for the great blog--it sounds like so much fun! What a different lifestyle! Good luck as you adjust to their routines and customs. Go easy on that wine....and please stay safe (remember your mace)! Lots of love, Mom P.S. loved the photos!
Your trip sounds amazing so far! Yay! I'm so glad you are having a wonderful time. If you could send me a postcard that would be fantastic. I collect postcards from all over the place and I will add this one to my collection! Thanks Vanessa, have fun!!
