The Pamir Welcome to Travelblog, Naddya...the World's Friendliest Travel blog site. And nice to see ALL FIVE of the Kool Kids are together again! What a trip...what an adventure...scenery that blew our minds...memories that shall endure. Great stuff.
No on every question... That's why I decided not to join fellow Travelbloggers Shane, David and Merry Jo, and David and Denise on this trip. I hope you weren't referring to them, but the other tour members as described by their blogs. I did enjoy your trip vicariously!
The Pamir Mountains aren't for everybody and that's ok Thanks for commenting! It was a good call that you didn't join the trip - there's no point going somewhere you wouldn't feel right. Of course, I wasn't referring to my fellow bloggers. They were absolutely fantastic and it was great fun travelling with them. I still can't get over the fact that not one, but three of the others behaved in such disgusting way... Cheers!
Pamir Highway A once in a lifetime trip. I laughed because you said part of the group came totally unprepared..... certainly understated. Some behaviors could not be blamed on the high altitude. We think of this trip with great memories. At times we felt like we were living in a Seinfeld episode because the guest houses took the reservation but didn't hold the reservation. Indeed... not a beauty contest. Love reading your blog again.
Great sharing this awesome experience with you! Some people reveal their true selves when tested in harsh conditions. It is easier to hide the crazy in your comfort zone, I guess :) Glad you liked the post. Happy travels!
